North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 2/1/1915

William Bartel, seventy-nine years
old, a well-known retired Wheat field
farmer, died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. David Petrie at No. 470 Elm
street, Buffalo, on Saturday morning
after a brief Illness. He was born in
Germany and had lived in Bergholtz,
town of Wheatfield, for forty-eight
years. He conducted a farm until eight
years ago. whoa he retired and went
to live with his daughter. Besides Mrs.
Petrie, two sons, August Bartel of
Bergholtz and William Bartel of Orchard
Park; one brother, August Bartel
of Martinsville, and one sister, Mrs.
Justina Dernier of Martinsville, survive.
The funeral will be held from
the Holy Ghost Church at Bergholts
on Tuesday afternoon and burial will
be made at Bergholtz.
