    services will be hold Thursday
    for David A. Yensan Sr., 51
    of 1253 Whitehaven Road, who
    died unexpectedly at home;
    Monday (July 20. 1970).
    Born and raised on Grand
    Island, Mr. Yensan was an ins-
    trument repairman for the the
    Dunlop Tire and Rubber Co.,
    Town of Tonawanda, and a
    member of Tonawanda Lodge
    Surviving are his widow Ruth
    Glor; four sons. Staff Sgt. Alfred
    E., with the Air Force
    stationed in Germany; Richard
    D., David A. Jr. and Michael
    K. Yensan, and a daughter,
    Kathaleen Yensan, all of Grand
    Island, a brother, Robert
    Yensan of Clarence and two
    sisters, Miss Frances Yensan
    of Grand Island and Mrs.
    Joseph (Ruth) Hewitt of the
    Town of Tonawanda.
    Friends may call today from
    2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at
    the Kaiser Funeral Home, 1950
    Whitehaven Road, where ser-
    vices will be held at 11 a.m.
    Thursday with the Rev. Marvin
    Richert of Trinity United
    Methodist Church officiating.
    Burial will be in Maple
    Groce Cemetery here.
    The family said that con-
    tributions to Trinity United
    methodist Church would be ac-
    ceptable as tributes.

    daughter of Mrs. and late Lyman
    Olor, to David Alfred Yensan, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Alfred E. Yensan. was
    held in St. Louis' Lutheran church,
    Richmond avenue. Buffalo, Saturday
    afternoon at 4 o'clock.

    GRAND ISLAND - A life-long resident and a
    member of one of the pioneer families of this community,
    Alfred E. Yensan, died today (Sept. 26, 1966).
    Mr. Yensan, 86, died at his
    home at 1305 Whitehaven
    Road after a short illness.
    He had operated a dairy
    farm for many years and was
    the owner of Yensan Milk Co.
    from 1932 to 1950. From 1928
    to 1944 Mr. Yensan was a justice
    of the peace. He was a
    member of Tonawanda Lodge
    No. 247, F & A. M.
    Surviving are two daughters,
    Miss Frances M. Yensan,*
    at home, who is the principal
    of the Military Road Elementary
    School, Town of Niagara,
    and Mrs. . J o s eph
    (Ruth) Hewett of Kenmore,
    and two sons, Robert A. of
    Clarence Center and David A.
    of Grand Island.
    Also survivingg are three
    brothers, Max, of North Tonawanda,
    Harold, of this town,
    and Benjamin Yensan of
    Tonawanda; 19 grandchildren
    and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Rev. John Larson of Trinity
    E.U.B. will conduct funeral
    services Wednesday at 11 a.m.
    at the Kaiser Funeral Home.
    Friends may call from 3
    to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 10
    p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
    Burial will be in Maple
    Grove Cemetery.

    Funeral services will be held at
    St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal
    Chapel, at 10 a.m. on Monday, for
    Mrs. Frances Yensan, 70, who died
    -suddenly in her White Haven Rd.
    home yesterday.
    Mrs. Yensan was-well-known to
    residents of the community, as representative
    of the Goodwill Industries,
    a service she carried on for
    nearly 10 years, in spite of an illness
    which confined her to a wheel
    chair.
    Born in Fleetwood, England,
    February 27, 1883, the former

    Frances Moir was brought to Toronto,
    Ont., with her five brothers
    and. sisters, while a very young
    child. She recently told friends
    her only recollection of the voyage
    was a gust of wind which blew
    her 'tammy-shanter' into the ocean.
    She received her early education
    in Toronto, finishing her schooling
    in Buffalo. Shortly after her marriage
    to Alfred Yensan in The
    Good Shepherd Church, Buffalo,
    the couple moved" to the Yensan
    homestead, latter occupying their
    present dwelling, where their golden
    wedding anniversary was celebrated
    this year.
    She was a charter member of the
    Grand Island Home Bureau unit,
    and was actively engaged in Trinity
    EUB Church organizations
    Parent-Teacher Assn., and displayed

    a keen Interest in"belter education
    for children.
    Raised in the Episcopal faith,
    she was deeply interested In the
    establishment of the St, Martin in
    the Fields Mission, being one of
    its early supporters. Besides her
    husband, she is survived by two
    sons, Robert of North Tonawanda
    and David of White. Haven Rd.,
    two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hewett,
    Kenmore, and Frances, who lives at
    the Grand Island home, and 17.
    grandchildren.
    Burial arrangements have not
    been completed. The family has
    requested that in lieu of flowers,
    friends make contributions toward
    a memorial for the mission chapel.
