Fred Young passed away very suddenly
at his home in the Staley road.
Thursday morning, October 9. Funeral
services were held Sunday afternoon,
buritl at Maple Grove cemetery.

Fred married VANTHOFF, Magdalena about 1886. Magdalena was born about 1866 in New York; died on 18 Jan 1938 in Grand Island, Erie County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Magdalena Young
Mrs. Magdalena Young died at
her home on the Staly road on
January 18, having been ill
several weeks.Her husband, Fred-
erick Young, preceded Mrs. Young
to death. Three children survive,
Fred J Young and Mrs. Phillip
Fuller of Buffalo and William
F Young of Grand Island, as well
as the following sisters and broth-
ers: Mrs John Young, Mrs. John
???, Mrs. Mary Anderson, Mrs.
Lori ??, Mrs. Owen Man-
???, John, Peter. Joseph and
??? Vanthoff. Private funeral
services were held at the late
home of the deceased.

Another Baum, Magdelena b.1 Oct.1845 Laichingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
daughter of Georg Friedrich Baum & Margaretha Mack d.27 May 1863 in the
home of her sister Rosina Baum Wagner (Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY) I found it in
the Zion book when the pastor was out.

Perhaps you can help to find info. on my great grandmother C. Elisabetha
Baum's husband. Friederich Jung b.11 Oct 1829 __ __ Bavaria, but were? A
german wants 160 Euro's (193.60) to tell me just his town of origin,
nothing more. Father is Jacob the 3rd b.25 Aug.1804 died in Crockery,
MI. Mother Maria Elisabetha, nee Jung b.14 Dec.1804 also died in
Crockery, MI. Married 1 Mar. 1828 in Bavaria. Elisabetha's father is
Samuel Jung, mother Katharine Elisabetha Albig both b. about 1770.
Samuel at 65 went in 1836 to America with his son-in-law Jacob's family.
Wife was probably dead. Jacob's father was als Jacob still living when
his son & family went to Tonawanda, Erie County, NY. Mother maybe Magdalena Fries.

Frederick married BAUM, Christina Elizabetha about 1856. Christina (daughter of BAUM, Georg Friedrich and MACK, Margaretha) was born on 28 Jul 1835 in Laichingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; died on 4 Dec 1922 in Grand Island, Erie County, NY; was buried in Trinity United Methodist Cemetery, Grand Island, Erie County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

1910 Census shows her having had 7 children - 5 alive - listed name as Elizabeth Young living with her daughter Rose Moyer on Grand Island.
