Charles L. Young, 89, of 649
Jefferson Ave., died Sunday
(Jan. 5, 1969) at Mount St.
Mary's Hospital after a short
illness. °
Mr. Young was a member of
the Holy Name Society of St.
Mary' of the Cataract Church.
He was a self-employed carpenter
and contractor, retiring
15 years ago. He was born in
Canada and had lived in this
city for 47 years.
He is the father of four daughters,
Mrs. William (Dorothy)
Hill, of Pekin, Mrs. Francis
(Audrey) Steele, Youngstown,
Mrs. Henry (Frances) Forster,
of Clemones, N.Y., and Mrs.
John (Noreen) Darlington, of
Richfield, Conn.; two sons, Wilfred
L. and Jerome Young,
both of this city, 22 grandchildren
and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the
Otto Redanz Funeral Home and
at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the
Cataract Church. Burial will be
in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Prayers will be said by the
Holy Name Society. Tuesday
evening at the funeral home.
Friends may call Monday
and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and
7 to 9 p.m.
