Zimmerman May be Alive Out Weat
The matter of granting letters of administration
on the estate of the late
Louise Zimmerman of No. 819 Robinson
    street, North Tonawanda, was
taken up before Surrogate Norman D.
Fish yesterday and developed the fact
    that the woman's husband, Herman
Zimmerman, has been missing for 21
years and the whereabouts of one of
her sons, Louis H Zimmerman, is unknown.
    The husband disappeared suddenly
and no trace of him was ever secured.
The police worked on the case but nobody
was found who saw him after he
left home. His family gave Zimmerman
up for dead long ago. Two years
ago the son left home, telling his family
that' he was going west. He was
last heard from when he wrote from
    the mining districts of Colorado,
where he was then working. All efforts
to get in touch with him .since
then have failed. His family does not
believe that he is dead and hope to
hear from him. The missing son does
not know that his mother is dead.
    Mrs. Zimmerman died on December
18, last. She left an estate of $200
personal property and $1,500 in real
estate. Besides the absent son she
left four sons, William, John, Edward
and Herman Zimmerman, all of North
    Tonawanda, and four daughters, Miss
    Rose Zimmerman. Mrs. Edward Kowsky.
and Mrs. Albert Kowsky of North
    Tonawanda and Mrs. Louise Brietenbach
    of Shawnee.
    l e t t e r s were granted on the estate
    to a son, Edward.

Herman married GROSE, Louise Friederike about 1878 in Niagara County, NY. Louise (daughter of GROSE, Wilhelm Friedrich and DOEBLER, Henriette Caroline Wilhelmine) was born on 8 Mar 1858 in Bergholz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany; died on 18 Dec 1913 in Buffalo, Erie County, NY. WOMAN DIES ABOARD TRAIN
Mrs. Louise Zimmerman Was Going to Michigan to Visit Sister
    DEATH CAME SUDDENLY
Stricken in Buffalo and Expired Before Medical Aid Arrived - Heart Failure Is Given As the Cause - Body Will be Brought Home Today
Mrs. Louise Zimmermann. fifty years old, of No. 819 East Robinson street. North Tonawanda. died on a New York Central passenger train just before the Exchange street station in Buffalo was reached at 7:30 o'clock last evening. The woman left North Tonawanda on the 7:09 train and was on her way to Unionville, Mich., to visit her sister, Mrs. Charles Riehman. Death was due to heart failure. Mrs. Zimmerman was accompanied by her son, Edward. She had been ill some time with heart troub!e and was stricken with more severe pain than usual as the train pulled into Buffalo. Several passengers lent their assistance in an attempt to revive
the woman but she had expired. Death came suddenly. Mrs. Zimmerman hurried her arrangements for the trip to Michigan. This, together with the excitement,
which the woman experienced over the thought,of visiting her sister, whom she had not seen for over thirty years, is believed to have been too much for her weakened heart to withstand. Medical Examiner Earl G. Danger had the body removed from the train to the morgue in Buffalo, whence it will be brought to the late home today. Mrs, Zimmerman is survived by four daughters. Miss Rosa Zimmerman, Mrs. Edward Kowsky, and Mrs. Albert Kowsky of North Tonawanda
and Mrs. Adam Brietenbach of Shawnee, and five sons, William, John, Edward, Herman and Louis Zimmerman of the Tonawandas. The funeral will be held from the family home at 1:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and an hour later from the St. Peter's Church on Thompson street, the Rev. R. A. Salzwedel officiating. Burial will be made in the St. Peter's cemetery on the Boehmng Road.
