    in Kenmore Mercy Hospital
    after a short illness.
    He was a lifelong resident of
    this city and a member of the
    North Tonawanda Firemen's
    Benevolent Association. He ws
    formerly employed by the
    Wurlitzer Co., retiring in 1952.
    Survivors include his wife, the
    former Mable Cauda; a son,
    LeRoy Zaggel Jr., Willowhert,
    N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert
    Fire, Chesapeake, Va.; two
    sisters, Mrs. Roy Carroll, this
    city, and Mrs. Jay Smith, of
    Warren, Pa. Also surviving are
    nine grandchildren and eight
    great-grandcbildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
    Wattengel Funeral Home, the
    Rev. Orlin Wilhite officiating.
    Burial will be in White Chapel
    Memorial Park.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
    home.

    Charles C. Gauda, 78, passed away suddenly Saturday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bernard Swisher, 10 W. Park Court, Grand Island. Born in Mewegen, Germany, he resided in the Twin Cities for 70 years. He is survived by five sons, Edward N., Syracuse, Howard and Charles Jr., North Tonawanda, Eugene and Robert of Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Zaggel, Mrs. William Habschied of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Bernard Swisher, Grand Island; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Christopher, Tonawanda and Richard, Lockport; a sister, Mrs. G. Wilcox of Rochester. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the amp Funeral Home, 7 Adam St., Rev. Joseph Shipman officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

    Mrs. Charlotte Zaggle, 89 years old, died yesterday afternoon at her home on the Zaggle farm on Tonawanda creek road after a brief illness. The deceased was a resident of this city for 62 years.     Mrs. Carolina Gauda, 62 years old, a resident of North Tonawanda for 32 years, died at the Elmwood avenue hospital in Buffalo on Thursday night. The body was brought to the home of the deceased's son, Albert Gauda at No. 222 Fredericka street, Gratwick. Four sons, Albert, Charles and Christian Gauda of North Tonawanda and Richard Gauda of Lockport and two daughters, Mrs. August Fisher of North Tonawanda and Mrs,. Judson Kulp of Cobalt, Canada, survive. The funeral will be held at the Gauda home, on Fredericka street tomorrow afternoon, the Rev. F. Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Tonawanda city cemetery.
