Notes: July 26, 2014 Ellen Eberwein Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Sat Jul 26, 2014, 04:16 PM EDT CITY OF TONAWANDA - Ellen "Bunny" (nee Krull) Eberwein, age 80, of the City of Tonawanda, died peacefully, Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Northgate Health Care Facility, Jeanne's House Hospice in North Tonawanda. Ellen was born in North Tonawanda, the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Haseley) Krull. She attended St. Mark Lutheran School and graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1951. Bunny was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tonawanda, and retired as a Nurse's Aide from DeGraff Memorial Hospital in 1997. She was well known by her family and her many friends as a kind, concerned and funny mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and all-around good friend. She will be very missed by all. She is survived by her children, Barbara (David) Overholt and Chris Michael Eberwein; her grandchildren, Amy (Christopher) Koscielniak, Michael David Overholt, and great-grandson, Jack Christopher Koscielniak; sister of Phyllis (Krull) Phillips, Roger (Linda) Krull and the late Neil Krull; also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara (Krull) Thomson, and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William Street (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. 8. | KRULL, Friedrich Wilhelm was born on 11 Dec 1837 in Fahrenwalde, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany (son of KRULL, Christian and BECCUE, Marie); died on 27 Aug 1919 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY. Notes: Krull, William, was born in Uckermerk, Germany, December 11, 1837, and came to America in 1843 with his parents. Christian and Mary (Veccue) Krull. His father was one of the early settlers in Wheatfield, and at the time of his death was one of the oldest residents. William Krull has been a farmer all his life and was actively engaged in that pursuit until he moved into Martinsville in 1857. He has been a successful man and has not only acquired ample means, but has also won the esteem of all classes by his honorable career and his strict integrity in all things. In 1857 he married Wilhelmina Milleville, who died in 1871, leaving six children: Augusta, Albertine, William C. and Wilhelmina, who are living; Christian and Matilda are dead. Mr. Krull married for his second wife Louisa Wolfe, and they have two children living, Matilda and Eleanor. Mr. Krull is a Democrat and was highway commissioner for three years in the town of Wheatfield; he has also been a trustee of St. Paul's German Lutheran church for twenty eight years. In 1894 he was a delegate to the Synod held at Pittsburg, and in 1897 delegate to Baltimore. During his career in this county he has always been a leader among his German fellow citizens, and as a man whose word has always been considered as good as his bond.
