TONAWANDA - Rudolph
Trosin Jr., 73, of 528 Fletcher
St.. dkd Saturday (April 19,
1958) at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital after a long illness.
A native of the Tonawandas.
he was employed by Remington
Rand for 17 years. Beforo retiring,
he was associated with
his father, the late Rudolph
Trosin, in a real estate-mortgage
service.
He was a member of Redeemer
Lutheran Church, and the
Lutheran Laymen's League.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Rose Zappendorf Trosin,
this city; a son, Edward R,
Trosin, this city, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Tuesday at
the Hamp Funeral Home by
the Rev. Hugo Kleiner. Burial
will be Elmlawn Cemetery.

Rudolph married VORPAHL, Elizabeth E about 1910. Elizabeth (daughter of VORPAHL, Charles and DUEGER, Augusta) was born about 1889 in Tonawanda, Erie County, NY; died on 17 Oct 1935 in Tonawanda, Erie County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Elizabeth Trosin, nee Vorpahl.,
46 years old, died this morning
at her home, 528 Fletcher
street. She had resided in the
Tonawandas all her life. She
was a member of the Salem Evangelical
church, the Ladies' Aid
society and the Home Department
of the church. She is survived
by a husband, Rudolph Trosin,
Jr., a son, Edward; a grandson,
five sisters, Mrs. R. A. McFarlana
and Mrs. Walter Johnson, Niagara
Falls, Mrs. Ole Kapstad
Larimore, North Dakota, Mrs.
Jerome Gundy and Mrs. Frank
Ball North Tonawanda, and a
brother, Fred, North Tonawanda.
Rites wili be held Sunday afternoon
at 2.30 o'clock at the residence.
Rev. Walter F. Hetzel
will officiate and burial will be
in Elmlawn

Charles Vorpahl. 78 years old. died
Wednesday night at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. R. A. McFarlane. No.
13 West Riverside drive, Cayuga Island.
Njagara Falls. Mr. Vorpahl was
born In Germany. He came to America
42 years ago and resided in North
Tonawanda for many years before
taking up his home with Mrs. McFarlane.
Surviving are two sons. Fred
and George Vorpahl. North Tonawanda
six daughters, Mrs. McFarlane
Larrimer, N. D., Mrs. Rudolph Trosin
Jr. Tonawanda; Mrs. Earl Banks
Buffalo; Mrs. Frank Ball, Tonawanda
and Mrs. Walter Johnson. Niagara
Falls. The funeral was held from the-
McFarlane home at 4 o'clock Friday
afternoon. standard time. Rev. Ernst
Scheppe of North Tonawanda will conduct
the service and Interment Will
be In the S t Peters cemetery, North
Tonawanda.
