Mrs. Augusta Luther Passes Unexpectedly
Mrs. Augusta E. Luther, widow of Adolph O. Luther, died suddenly yesterday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Mang, 8731 Buffalo avenue. Mrs. Luther, who was 75. formerly resided in North Tonawanda but had made her home with her daughter here for the last three and one-half years. Besides her daughter, she Ls survived by three sons, Edward and Norman Luther, both of North Tonawanda, and Walter, of Tonawai\da; .two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Maertan, of North Tonawanda, and three brothers, Carl AcbVrberg, of Beach Ridge, N. Y., and Ernest and Gustave Achterberg, of North Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the home of her son, Norman Luther, 531 East Thompson street, North Tonawanda. Burial will be in Elmlawn cemetery.

Ferdinand Achterberg, 81 years old died yesterday afternoon at his home on the Niagara Falls boulevard at Wurlitzer after a long illness. Besides his wife, three sons, Charles Achterberg of the town of Wheatfield. Ernest and Gustav Achterberg of North Tonawanda, two daughters, Mrs Augusta Luther and Mrs Albert Maertin of the Tonawandas, 28 grandchildren and five great, grandchildren survive. The funeral
will be held Wednesday afternoon from the late residence- at 1:30 o'clock and a half hour later from St John's church at St Johnsburg. Burial will be in St John's cemetery.

Mrs. Ernestine Achterberg, 87 years old, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert J. Maerton. 52 Fredericka Street. Born in Germany, she had lived in the town of Wheatfield and North Tonawanda for the past 45 years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maerton and Mrs. August Luther, North Tonawanda; three sons, Charles, Pickard's Bridge and Ernest and Gustav North Tonawanda; 20 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late residence and half an hour later at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter Thiemecke will officiate and interment will be in the St. John's cemetery.
