    Services for Gordon P. Dewey, 82, of Coolidge Avenue, retired plant manager of the West Plant of Harrison Division,General Motors Corp., will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St. Burial will be in ColdSpring Cemetery. A native of the Town of Royalton, he died Thursday (June 2, 1994) in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Dewey worked at Harrison for more than 46 years, starting as an hourly employee in 1928. He rose through the ranks, as foreman of inspection, a field service engineer, general foreman of production, general superintendent, and plant manager at the former Washburn Street Plant and the West Plant from 1950 until his retirementin 1975. At Trinity Lutheran Church, he was chairman of the board of trustees for many years and also served as general chairmanof the United Appeal fund drive in the early 1950s. He was the Industrial Committee chairman for the Chamber of Commerce andworked on various fund drives for Boy Scout troops. He was the widower of the former Marion Kator, who died in 1962. Surviving are his wife, the former Hilda L. Linderman; a son, James; a brother, Burt Duwe of Dinuba, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Linda L. Byrum of Milwaukee, Wis.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

    LOCKPORT — Hilda Dewey passed away on August 1, 2011 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Newstead, NY, Hilda was the daughter of William and Anna Winkler Linderman.

    Hilda graduated from Akron High School and attended Felt & Terrant Business School in Buffalo. She was a member of the Hospital Guild at Lockport Memorial Hospital, Trinity Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid Society, American Red Cross, Millers Port Home Executives, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program and the 29 and Holding of YWCA. Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Dewey on June 2, 1994.

    Hilda is the mother of Linda (Dennis) Byrum of Milwaukee, WI and the late James Dewey; mother-in-law of Patricia Dewey of Lockport; grandmother of Megan Dewey of Lockport and the late Timothy, David and Michael Dewey; great-grandmother of Kelsey, Kaley and Zachary Dewey; dear friends Mike and Sue Conners of Lockport.

    Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St., Lockport. Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Akron. Donations to the American Heart Foundation or to Niagara Hospice or to the church would be appreciated.

    Albert Duwe, 54 years old, died last night at the DeGraff Memorial hospital after a brief illness with pneumonia. He had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. George Marohn, 67 Elm street. Duwe was a member of the local branches of the Orioles and Moose order. He is survived by a wife, Ethel; five sons, William of Buffalo, Carl of Sherkston, Ont., Gordon, Daniel and Burt of Gasport; four daughters, Mrs. Horace Powley of Medina, Mrs. Marohn of Tonawanda and the Misses Bessie and Ethel Duwe of Gasport, a brother, Herman Duwe of Burt, and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Zuck of Buffalo, Mrs. Gustav Ellman and Mrs. Herman Kirchhoff of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Kirchhoff, 1226 Payne avenue. Burial will be at Clarence Center.
