MEMPHIS, TN — Theresa Mae (Harrington) Hilts, 87, formerly of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital, Memphis, TN. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Theresa (McArdle) Harrington.

Mrs. Hilts attended Niagara Falls High School where she was in the choir. In 1943, Mae married the late Robert M. Hilts. She worked at Hilts Pharmacy for several years, Page’s Whistle Pig for four years, operated Sunny Acres Grocery Store for nine years and worked for the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club for nine years. She lived in Niagara Falls, NY until 2005, when she moved to Cordova, TN.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Stephenson of Cordova; four granddaughters, six great- grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Elaine Martinez; a sister, Dolores Hartman and her brother, Clinton Harrington.

The family will be present on Saturday from 1-4 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where services will be held at 4 PM. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
