    -Kenneth Pletcher, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Ensminger
    of 247 Zimmerman boulevard,
    Kenmore, started the
    New Year right with a promotion
    to Corporal, dated
    Jan. 1. His wife is the former
    Leona Zimmerman of Morgan
    street, Tona. Cpl. Pletcher entered
    the service in August,
    1942. He received his basic
    training in the Medical Corps
    at Camp Pickett, Va., and is
    now stationed at Columbia,
    S. C. He has two brothers in
    the service, Robert Ensminger
    stationed In California and
    Floyd stationed In N o r th
    Dakota.

    where he had been given

    committee member of Boy
    Scout Troop 580.
    He is survived by his
    wife, Leona A. (nee Zimmerman)
    Pletcher; a son,
    Kenneth P. (Harriet)
    Pletcher, Jr., and three
    grandchildren, Kevin,
    Kathleen and Daniel Pletcher,
    all of North Tonawanda;
    two brothers,
    Floyd (Dorothy) Ensminger
    of the Town of
    Tonawanda and Jack
    Pletcher of North Tonawanda
    and several nieces
    and nephews.
    Friends may call Friday
    evening from 7 to 9 and
    Saturday and Sunday from
    2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at
    John O. Roth Funeral
    Home, Morgan and
    William Sts., Tonawanda
    where services will be
    private and at the convenience
    of the family. Burial
    will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
    Relatives and friends

    attend a Memorial Service
    at 7 o'clock Monday evening
    at Grove Street Christian
    Church in Tonawanda,

    Charles Pletcher, 79, of 32 Delaware
    street, died this morning in
    the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He
    was born in the town of Lewiston,
    but had resided in the Tonawandas
    the greater part of his life.
    He leaves three sons, LeRoy, Orlee
    and Stanley and 14 grandchildren,
    all of the Tonawandas. Rites
    will be held Sunday afternoon at
    2:30 at the residence. Rev. Joe B.
    Maffett will offleate. Burial will
    be in the City cemetery.

    Mrs. Ida Pletcher, 62 years old, wife
    of Charles Pletcher, died .Wednesday

    afternoon at her home in the Colon-
    ial apartments. Mrs. Pitcher was ill
    with pneumonla at the DeGraff Mem-
    orial hospital and- returned home ap-
    parently recovering. She suffered a
    stroke three days ago and died - Wed-
    nesday. She is survived by her hus-
    band, four sons LeKoy. LeGrane Or-
    lee and Stanley, all of the Tona-
    wanda and 9 grand children, 3 great
    grandchildren, one brother. George
    Hall of Tonawanda and one sister,
    Mrs. George Pletcher of North Tona
    wanda. She was a member of Twin
    City Council. No. 37, Daughters of
    Amerlca. Funeral services will be held
    Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in
    charge of the members" of Twin City
    Council. Rev H. Elliott Chaffee of
    the Grace Methodist church will offi-
    ciate and Interment will be In the
    City cemetery.

    died today at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs Eugene LaCross at No.
    209 Franklin street, after a brief ill-
    ness. She had lived here for 39 years.
    Two daughters. Mrs. LaCross of Tona-
    wanda and Mrs. David Rhodehouse of
    Middleport, and two sons, George H.
    Pletcher and Charles E. Pletcher of
    Tonawanda. survive. The funeral will
    be held from the LaCross home at 2.30
    o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, the
    Rev C. Walton Jarvis officiating.
    Burial will be in Elmlawn cemetery.

    Mrs. Helen Hall. 84 years old. died
    Saturday morning at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs. george Pletcher, 94
    Tremont street. Mrs. Hall was born in
    England. She came to America 62
    years ago and with the exception of
    the first two years had resided in the
    Tonawandas during her stay in this
    country. Besides her daughter, Mrs.
    Pletcher, a son, George H. Hall, of
    Tonawanda, survives. The funeral
    was held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
    at the Pletcher residence. Interment
    in Elmlawn.
