    Church Saturday Aug. 11 for the
    wedding of Miss Florence
    Schultz, daughter of Mrs. Matilda
    Reser of Tonawanda and Anthony
    Zipp, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Martin Zipp. The ceremony was
    performed by The Right Rev.
    Msgr. John A. Weismantel. The
    bride was given in marriage by
    her uncle Mr. Herman Lintner.
    During the ceremony Miss Bacon
    sang "Mother At Thy Feet is
    Kneeling," "Pontis Angilico,"
    land Schubert's "Ave Maria."
    The bride wore a gown of ny-
    Ion tulle and Chantilly lace. The
    fitted bodice was fashioned with
    a sweetheart neckline, long
    sleeves pointing over the wrists,
    a short ruffled peplum and bouf-
    fant skirt over which lace
    flowers were scattered. Her fin-
    ger tip veil of illusion was held
    in place by a matching lace bonnet.
    She carried a colonial bouquet
    of white roses, baby mums
    and lily of the valley.
    The maid-of-honor, Miss Helen
    Dzuglo wore a gown of white
    eyelet organdy over pastel
    green. It was fashioned with.a
    sweetheart neddine and short
    peplum both outlined with organdy
    flowers. Her headpiece
    was a bonnet effect, and she
    caried a colonial bouquet of
    summer flowers.
    The bridesmaids were Mrs.
    Frederick Lindaman and Mrs.
    William Schreck. Their gowns
    and bouquets were similar to the
    maid-of-honor, one over aqua
    and the othe'r over yellow.
    Mr. Paul Zipp, brother of the
    groom, was best man. Messrs.
    Frank Wenske and George Zitzka,
    cousins of the groom, were
    ushers.
    The mother of the bride wore
    a dress of pale pink shadow
    lace and a corsage of roses. The
    groom's mother chose a light
    blue print crepe dress and wore
    a corsage of roses.
    The breakfast, immediately af-
    ter the ceremony was given at
    the bridegroom's home. The dinner
    was at the Kathryn Lawrence
    Tea Room and a reception
    followed at the American Legion.
    For a motor trip thru Canada
    the bride chose an aqua two
    piece dress with white accessories.
    A white orchid complemented
    her costume.

    ZIPP - Martin Zipp, 73, of 369
    Young St., died Tuesday evening
    (April 28, 1965) in Roswell Park
    Memorial Institute, Buffalo, after
    a prolonged illness. Born in Aus
    tria-Hungary. Mr. Zipp lived in the
    Tonawandas fcr 50 years and was
    employed in local lumber mills. He
    was a member of St Francis of
    Assisi Church, of the Holy Name
    Society of the church, and of the
    272 Club. He is survived by bis
    wife, Anna (nee Baumgartner),
    five sons, John, Martin Jr., Fred,
    Paul and Anthony, two daughters,
    Mrs. William Thiebolt and Mrs.
    Marmon Tower, 18 grandchildren
    and three g r e a t grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral
    Home where services will be
    at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and at 9 a.m.
    in St. Francis Church with the Rev.
    Wilbur Yaeger officiating. Interment
    will be in St Francis Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Anna Baumgartner
    Zipp, 81, of 7171 Nash Road, Wheatfield, died Tuesday
    (Nov. 14, 1967) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a
    brief illness.
    Born in Austria-Hungary, she
    had resided in this area the
    greater part of her life. She was
    a member of St. Francis of
    Assisi Church and the altar
    Society at the church.
    Her husband, Martin Zipp,
    died in 1955.
    Survivors include five sons.-
    John, Martin .Ir., Fred, Paul
    and Anthony Zipp, and two
    daughters, Mrs. William Thiebalt
    and Mrs. Marmon Tower,
    all of the Tonawandas; two
    sisters, Mrs. Katrina Keller,
    Wheatfield, and Mrs. Christine
    Peterman, Whittier, Calif.; a
    brother, Anthony Baumgartner,
    Tonawanda; 19 grandchildren
    and 26 great-grandchildren.
    Services will'be conducted at
    ft:30 a.m. Friday at the Hamp
    Funeral Home, followed by Requiem
    Mass at 10 in St. Francis
    of Assisi Church. Burial will be
    in St. Francis Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
    home.

    North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 8/25/1952

    MARRIED 50 YEARS AGO TODAY were Mr. and Mrs. Martin
    Zipp Sr. of 369 Young St. who were guests of honor yesterday
    at an open house in the home of their daughter, Mrs. William
    Thiebolt, 580 Broad St. Yellow tapers in golden candlesticks and
    red and yellow roses centered the buffet table which was
    adorned with a large anniversary cake. Mr. and Mrs. Zipp were
    married in Austria Aug. 25, 1902. They have seven children
    living, 17 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Mr. Zipp worked
    for the Tonawanda Public Works Department, retiring in 1949.
    Before that he was employed by the Treat Nantke Lumber
    Company. Among the 150 attending were out of town guests
    from Chicago and Buffalo. The guests of honor received many
    anniversary gifts, and gift flowers decorated the Thiebolt home
    for the celebration.
