    The toll of traffic fatalities
    in this city and vicinity has
    taken another upward bound
    with the deaths of a Falls
    woman in a two-car collision
    here and of a North Tonawanda
    man injured Thursday in a
    Sanborn accident.
    The latest victims were:
    Mrs- Gloria .Mansu, 30, of 482
    18th St.
    Albert HID, 79, of 444 Bennett
    St., North Tonawanda.
    Injured but released after treatment
    at Mt. St. Mary'. Hospital
    was Mrs. Mansu's daughter, Linda
    Marie, 7.
    Mrs., Mansu's death Saturday
    night raised the city's traffic fatality
    toll to 12, compared to five recorded
    last year at this date. The total
    for 1955 was 10.
    Th« Will death raised the toll
    of auto deaths on county roads
    outside the cities to 14, according
    to the Niagara County Sheriffs
    office. <
    Thrown From Car.
    Mrs. Mansu wax killed in an accident
    at Jefferson and Sixth streets
    when she was thrown from the
    auto her husband, Nunzio Mansu,
    29. was driving.
    She suffered a broken neck and
    was dead on arrival at Mt. St.
    Mary's Hospital. Her daughter suffered
    abrasions on both knees,
    "nose and left wrist.
    Police arrested the driver of the
    other car, Miss Maxie L, Duehart,
    41, of 2817 13th St., and charged
    her with driving at a dangerous
    speed.
    At a hearing in Police Court
    today, Miss Duehart pleaded not
    guilty to the charge and was placed
    on $500 bail. The case was ad-
    ^Journed until Sept. 5.
    According to police, Miss Duehart
    was traveling north in Sixth
    street. The Mansu car was heading
    east in Jefferson.
    Says She Stopped
    In a statement to police, Miss
    Duehart said she stopped at a stop
    sign at the intersection and then
    proceeded to cross Jefferson. She
    applied the brakes when she saw
    Mrs. Mansu's car coming through
    the intersection "at a high rate of
    speed." she told police.
    Miss Duehart stated she was driving
    five to 10 miles an hour when
    her machine struck the right rear
    fender of the Mansu car.
    A native of this city, Mrs. Mansu
    was a waitress at the Como Restaurant.
    In addition to her husband, she
    is survived by her parents, Mr. and
    Mrs. Anthony Zito; a sister, Mrs.
    Joseph Mariglio, and a brother,
    Ronald Zito, all of this city.
    Services will be held at 9 a.m.
    Thursday at the Spallino Funeral
    Home. A Solemn High Mass of
    Requiem will be sung at 9:45 a.m.
    at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will
    be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

    Anthony F. Zito, 68, of 2603
    Walnut Ave., died unexpectedly
    Tuesday (July 28, 1970) in
    Memorial Medical Center after
    being stricken at home.
    Born in Niagara Falls, Mr.
    Zito attended local schools and
    was a partner in Roscetti-Zito
    Builders for 25 years. Her and
    his wife operated the LoSalle
    Coffee Shop for six years and
    ????delicatessen until 1968.
    Mr. Zito was a fourth degree
    member of the Knights of Col-
    umbus, Council 247, the St.
    Joseph's Holy Name Society
    and the st. Vincent de Paul
    Society of St. Joseph's Church.
    Survivors are his widow,
    Margaret (Nesti) Zito, a son,
    Ronald Zito of the Town of
    Niagara; a daughter, Mrs.
    Joseph (Kathleen) Mariglio of
    this city, his mother, Catherine
    Zito, this city; four brothers,
    Samuel, Joseph and Ralph Zito
    of this city, and Brother John
    of the Don Bosco Order in New
    Rochelle; and four sisters, Mrs.
    Charles (Jenny) Ruggirello,
    Mrs. Anthony (Mary)
    Catalfamo and Mrs. Dominic
    (Margaret) Certo of this city
    and Sister Joseph of the
    Salesian Order in Elizabeth,
    N.Y.
    His daughter, Gloria, and two
    brothers, formerly of Niagara
    Falls, Paul and James Zito
    predeceased Mr. Zito.
    Funeral services will be held
    Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the
    M.J. Colucci Funeral Chapel
    and at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's
    Church.
    The Rosary will be recited
    Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral
    chapel.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday
    and Friday.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph's
    Cemetery.

    Joseph Zito, of 480 Eighteenth
    street, former yard foreman at the
    plant of the Union Carbide company,
    died in Mount St. Mary's hospital
    suffering from a stroke. He
    was 65 years old and had lived in
    Niagara Falls 40 years.
    He is survived by his wife. Mrs.
    Catherine Zito; seven sons, Anthony,
    Paul, James, Samuel, Joseph, Jr.,
    John and Ralph Zito, all of this
    city; four daughters, the Rev, Sister
    Josephine, of Atlantic City, and Mrs.
    Charles Ruggirello and the Misses
    Mary and Margaret Zito, of this
    city, and a sister Mrs. Frank Cap-
    uano, in Italy.
    The funeral will be held from the

    family home at 8:15 am. Wednesday,
    with services at St. Joseph's
    church at 8:45 a hi. Burial will be
    in St. Joseph's cemetery.

    Funeral services for Paul Zito,
    75. of 480 Eighteenth street, who
    died suddenly at his home Thursday,
    were held this morning from
    the home at 8 o'clock and at St.
    Joseph's church at 9 o'clock with
    the Rev. George O'Neill officiating.
    Assisting Father O'Neill at the
    Solemn Requiem Mass were the
    Rev. Joseph Stanton and the Rev.
    Celestlne Damiano.
    Pallbearers for Mr. Zito were his

    nephews, Paul J. Zito. Anthony Zito,
    Samuel Zito, James Zito, Charles
    Rugglerello and Joseph Zito. The
    funeral was largely attended. The
    procession was accompanied by the
    playing of chinmes.

    Paul Zito, of 480 Eighteenth

    street, father of John V, Zito,
    prominent real estate dealer, died
    at his home yesterday afternoon
    after a brief Illness. He was 75
    years old.
    Born in Italy. Mr. Zito had lived
    in Niagara Falls 42 years and had
    a large number of friends here. His
    survivors include three sons, John
    V., Samuel and Roy Zito. all of
    this city: two daughters, Mrs. Catherine
    Zito, of this city, and Sister
    Anttonete, of New York: two sisters.
    Mrs. Josephine Lisante, of
    New York, and Mrs. Phyllis Morturana,
    of Rome, N. Y., and 15
    grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
    The funeral will be held from his
    late home at_8 a.m. Saturday with
    services at St. Joseph's church at 9
    am. Burial will be in St. Joseph's
    cemetery.

    A great-great grandmother. Mrs.
    Vincena Zito. 480 Eighteenth street,
    died today at h er h o m e.
    A native of Italy, she c a me to this
    city 51 years ago. She was a communlcant
    of St. Joseph's church and
    a member of the Souls in Purgatory
    society.
    She is survived by two daughters.
    Mrs. Catherine Zito. tin, city, and
    Sister Antoinette. Tampa Florida;
    three sons. John V.. Samuel and Roy
    Zito, all of thus city; 15 grandchildren..
    12 great grandchildren and
    two great-great grandchiluren.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday
    at 9 a. m. at the Spaliino Funeral
    home. 562 Fifteenth street, and
    at 9:30 o'clock at St. Joseph's church.
    Interment will be in the family plot
    4n St. Joseph's cemetery.

    niversary of their wedding on November. 16. The venerable couple received the

    good wishes of members of their family and scores of friends at a golden wed-
