She was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Amanda (nee Otto) Zuch. Beloved mother of Sean (Jessie) Jagow of the Town of Niagara and Erin Jagow of the Town of Wheatfield. Grandmother of Christian DiRamio, Amira, Brady and Cooper Jagow. Sister of Terry M. Zuch of Rockville MD, Susan E. (late Richard) Meyer of North Tonawanda, Melissa E. (Paul) Hofheins of Town of Tonawanda, Timothy M. (Brenda) Zuch of Napoleon, OH, and Anne (John) Gabryelski of North Tonawanda. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.     Ellen Zuch and Robert Gene Jagow were
    united in marriage Saturday (Oct. 14,
    1972). The Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer and the
    Rev. Wayne F. Jagow, brother of the
    bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony at
    St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. Irvin G. Zuch, 52 Brundage Ave. The
    bridegroom is the son of Mrs. David
    Stolzenburg, 6635 Hunt St., Niagara Falls,
    and the late-Franklin F. Jagow.
    Given in marriage by her father, the
    bride wore an ivory satin organza gown
    with pink satin trim at the waistline and
    back streamers.
    Miss Melissa Zuch,. and Mrs. Susan
    Meyer were honor attendants for their
    sister.
    Bridesmaids were Miss Anne Zuch,
    sister Of the bride, Miss Carole Raab and
    Miss Maureer Jagow.
    David DeVantier was best man. Ushers
    were-.Terry Zuch and Timothy Zuch, both
    brothers of the bride, Nelson Haseley and
    William Schimschack.
    -After a reception at St. Johnsburg Fire
    Hall, the couple departed
    for a Caribbean
    cruise wedding trip.

    Bergholtz Church, Civic Leader Dies
    Franklin F. Jagow, 49, of 6635 Hunt St., Bergholtz, died Sunday (Feb. 20, 1966) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital shortly after suffering a heart attack at home.
    He was first vice president of the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church; first commander of the Wheatfield Post of the American Legion; a member of the Bergholtz Fire Co. and a director of the Cooperative Fire 1nsurance Co. of Bergholtz.
    Mr. Jagow was employed by the Carborundum Co. for 30 years as a small wheel molder.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Norma Mielke Jagow; three sons, Wayne Jagow, a student at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; Daniel Jagow and Robert Jagow, both of Bcrgholtz; his father, Frederick Jagow, Bergholtz; four sisters, Mrs. Hugo (Evelyn) Gade. Baltimore; Mrs. Melvin (Elizabeth) Williams, Wilson; Miss Elfrieda Jagow, this city; and Mrs. Milton (Marilyn) Warblow, North Tonawanda.
    Four brothers surviving are Howard Jagow and Irwin Jagow, both of the Town of Wheatfield; Victor Jagow, of Maryland; and Rev. Frederick Jagow, Warren, Mich. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, until 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body will lie in state at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholtz, from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. Wednesday, when funera1 services will be held. Rev. Albert Bahr, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions to the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church Building, Fund will be acceptable as tributes.     NORTH TONAWANDA — Norma L. (nee Mielke) Stolzenburg, age 90, of North Tonawanda, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Born in the Town of Cambria, NY to the late Elmer and Amanda (Gombert) Mielke, she was the wife of Franklin F. Jagow, who entered into rest in 1966; the wife of David Stolzenburg, who predeceased her in 1997; and was the sister of the late Donald Mielke, Marian Ellman and Phyllis Stoelting. Norma attended LaSalle Jr. and Sr. High Schools. She had been employed as an assembler at Radatron in North Tonawanda for over 20 years. Norma was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Wilson. Her joy was her family and their time together. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was well-known for her delicious pies and homemade baked goods.

    She is survived by three sons, Rev. Wayne F. (Maureen) Jagow of the Town of Lockport, NY, Daniel J. (Maria) Jagow of Coppell, TX, and Robert G. (Laura) Jagow of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Rev. Andrew W. (Kathy) Jagow, Erin Jagow, Bethany Moulden, Sean (Jessie) Jagow, Amanda (Kevin) Nevels and Nikole Jagow; seven great-grandchildren, Christian DiRamio, Lily and Claire Jagow, Amira and twins, Cooper and Brady Jagow, and Claire Nevels; three step-grandchildren, Lisa, James (Alissa) and Jason Hodgson; four step-great-grandchildren, Alissa, Alexx and Sidney Boerhinger, and Kennedy Hodgson; a sister-in-law, Norma Lewis of Sanborn, NY; a brother-in-law, Marvin (late Phyllis) Stoelting of Pekin, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

    There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, July 17, at 6 PM in Concordia Lutheran Church, 3121 Beebe Rd., in the Town of Wilson. Rev. Andrew W. Jagow will officiate. Private interment will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Wheatfield.     Wednesday, August 28 in the
    home of the groom, the Rev. Carl
    A Frankenstein performing the
    ceremony in front of the fireplace
    in the presence of sixty guests.
    Large baskets of peach gladioli,
    blue and white asters and candelabra
    were the effective house decorations.
    The bride wore a gown of white
    faille taffeta, with a tight fitting
    bodice, full skirt and long train,
    having velvet applique, also with
    sweetheart neckline and long full
    sleeves. Her finger-tip veil fell
    from a tara of orange blossoms
    and she carried a shower bouquet
    of white gladioli.
    Miss Marion Salefske was maid
    of honor wearing a gown of peach
    taffeta having a long full skirt and
    V shaped neckline. The bridesmaids,
    Miss Cora Sahr and Miss
    Velma Zuck, cousin of the groom,
    were attired in blue taffeta gowns
    fashioned similar to the maid of
    honors. The attendants wore talisman
    roses in their hair, and carried
    bouquets of talisman roses,
    delphinium and gypsophita,

    PEKIN - Mrs. Amanda Mielke, 80, of Upper Mountain Road, died today (March 22, 1979) in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
    She was a native of Bergholtz and had resided in Pekin for the past 62 years. She was the wife of the late Elmer Mielke who died in 1965.
    She was a member of St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild of the church.
    She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Marian) Ellman, Mrs. David (Norma) Stoltzenberg and Mrs. Marvin ( Phyllis) Stoelting, of Pekin; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donald Mielke. There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert H. Gaal officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family said contributions to the Lutheran Service Society will be acceptable as tributes. Arrangements are being made by the Rhoney Funeral Home.

    man and Mrs. Agnes Wilke,
    bridesmaid, all of this city.
    Mr. and Mrs. Zuch received
    their guests in the parish hall.
    Mrs. Zuch wore a blue and white
    print chiffon dress. She wore a corsage

    of yellow and white rosebuds
    and a crystal necklace and earrings,
    a gift to her from her husband.
    Both the groom and the bride,
    the former Miss Amanda Wilke,
    were born in this city. They were
    married April 28,1909 by the Rev.
    Phillip Laux, pastor of St. Paul's
    Lutheran Church, Old Falls Blvd.
    They are the parents of a son,
    Irvin G. and have five grandchil-
    dren. They are Terry, Susan, Jud
    ith. Melissa and Timothy.
    Mr. and Mrs. Zuch have been
    active members of St. Matthew
    Lutheran Church. Mr. Zuch retired
    in 1958 after being employed at the
    Buffalo Bolt Co. for 22 years. Previously
    he had worked for the
    King Construction Co. for 28 years.

    1. ZUCH, Carl G was born about 1910 in New York; died on 19 Aug 1928 in Degraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.
    2. 6. ZUCH, Irvin George was born on 31 Mar 1917 in New York; died on 13 Sep 1981 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.

    Home. Buffalo, after a
    lenghty illness. Mr. Otto was a
    member of St. Matthew
    Lutheran Church.
    He is survived by a daughter.
    Mrs, Irvin (Amanda) Zuch of
    North Tonawanda; two sons.
    Edwin A. of Lockport, NY.,
    and V Roland Otto of North
    Tonawanda: 19 grandchildren:
    12 greatgrandchildren; and a
    brother. Michael Otto. Winnipeg.

    The family will receive
    friends this evening from 7 to 9
    p.m.. and Friday from 2 to 4 and
    7 to 9 p.m.. at the Fretthold
    Funeral Home. Inc., 1241 Oliver
    St . at Ward Rd . North Tonawanda
    where services will be
    held Saturday at 10:30 a.m.. the
    Rev. AW. Moldenhauer will
    officiate. Interment in St
    Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.
