ZUHR - Kenneth C. Age 73 of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, September 13, 2017 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Loving husband of 50 years to Carol A. (nee Baker) Zuhr; father of Kristen Zuhr and Jennifer Zuhr-McGee; grandfather of Marissa (John Jason) McGee and Megan McGee; son of the late Kenneth L. and Enid M. Zuhr; brother of Margaret "Peg" (Ralph) Wisniewski and the late Elaine Kramer; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ken was a 1962 graduate of Tonawanda High School and inducted into the Tonawanda High School Wall of Fame. He was also a member of the Eastern Interscholastic Swimming Team Championship of 1962. Ken was a Physical Education Teacher at Depew High School for 32 years, retiring in 1999, and was a Swim Coach at Tonawanda High School and Depew High School for more than 25 years. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Eldredge Club, Third Ward Social Club, Niagara Hose Co., Exempt Volunteer Firemen's Assn. and the National Oldsmobile Club of America. He was also an avid golfer and classic car enthusiast. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 19th from 2-6 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Everyone is invited to join Ken's family for a celebration of Ken's life at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad St. in Tonawanda at 6:30 PM Tuesday immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Flowers gratefully declined, memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice or to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

CITY OF TONAWANDA —
Enid M. (nee Jukes) Zuhr, age 95, of the City of Tonawanda, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Beechwood Nursing Facility. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, she was the wife of Kenneth L. Zuhr who died in 1973; and was the sister of the late Betty Miller and Myra Hobler. Enid was a 1936 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had been employed by Durez Plastics in North Tonawanda for 25 years, retiring in 1980.
She is survived by three children, Kenneth (Carol) Zuhr of North Tonawanda, Margaret "Peg" (Ralph) Wisniewski and Elaine (Donald) Kramer of Tonawanda; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Jennifer (James), Amy, Kathryn, Janet, Christopher and Elizabeth; four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Megan, Emma and Alfred; and was the aunt of Robert, Linda (Jon) and the late Karen.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday only from 11 AM until 1:00 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday following the visitation. The Rev. Andrew Abraham will officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie County SPCA, 205 Ensminger Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14150.

Fred C. Zuhr, 54, of 27 Catherine
street, an employe of the
Van Raalte Silk Mills on Sweeney
street for the past 29 years, was
found dead in his place ef employment
a few minutes after he
began work at 7 o'clock this
morning. Coroner J. E. Helwig
investigated and expressed the
opinion that Mr. Zuhr succumbed
to a heart ailment, from wnich
he had long been a sufferer.
Found by fellow employes in
the knitting department, Dr. Alvin
J. Schweitzer was summoned
immediately. He pronounced Mr.
Zuhr dead and Dr. Helwig was
notified.
Mr. Zuhr was a life-long resident
of Tonawanda, a member of
the Immanuel Lutheran church
and the Niagara Hose company.
He is survived by his wife, Ida
Pauline, nee Wein; two sons, Wilson
and Kenneth; a granddaughter,
Karen, all of Tonawanda; and
two brothers, Herman and Frank
Zuhr of Lead, S. D.
Funeral services will be held
Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock
from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37
Adam street. The Rev. Theodore
Schroeder will officiate and interment
will be in Ebnlawn.

De Graff Memorial Hospital
after a brief illness.
Born in this city, she was a
member of Emanuel Lutheran
Church and the Women's Guild
of the church.
Survivors include two sons,
Wilson F. and Kenneth L.
Zuhr; four sisters, Miss Emma
Wein, Mrs. Magdalena Reinbolt,
Mrs. Hannah Luther and
