    JOHNSON CREEK, July 3.-Carl
    Rhodehouse, 36, of Buffalo, a native
    and former well known resident
    Johnson Creek, was drowned late Sun
    day afternoon while swimming in
    Lake Rushnorth near Canandaigua.
    He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
    David Rhodehouse, of Johnson Creek
    two brothers, Ralph, of Lockport, and
    Roland, of Johnson Creek, one sister
    Mrs. Kenneth Robinson, of Gasport.
    It Is reported that Mr. Rhodehouse
    had just entered the water when he
    was taken with cramps and sank. His
    brother, Augustin Rhodehouse, was
    drowned seven years ago while swim-
    mlng In Lackawanna..
    Funeral services will be held Wed
    nesday afternoon at his home, Niagara
    Falls boulevard, Buffalo,' with inter-
    ment at Hartland Central cemetey.

    LOCKPORT, Feb 26 - Fourteen
    grandchildren and 16 great grand-
    children are among the 33 descend-
    ents of David Rhosehouse, 83, of
    Johnson creek, who died yesterday
    at Hilltop Nursing home, Gasport.
    Mr. Rhodehouse was born Feb-
    ruary 26, 1869, at Tillisburg, Ont.,
    a son of Joseph and Delia Rhode-
    house. He lived in the civinity of
    Middleport and Johnson creek for
    the last 40 years. He was engaged
    in farming and employed by the
    Friend Manufacturing company, in
    Gasport, for several years.
    Other survivors are a daughter,
    Mrs. Paul Robison, Middleport; two
    sons, Ralph, Lockport, and Roland,
    Middleport, and a brother, Charles,
    Middleport.

    Mrs. Hannah E. Pletcher. 79 years
    old. a well-known resident ot Tonawanda,
    died today at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs Eugene LaCross at No.
    209 Franklin street, after a brief ill-
    ness. She had lived here for 39 years.
    Two daughters. Mrs. LaCross of Tona-
    wanda and Mrs. David Rhodehouse of
    Middleport, and two sons, George H.
    Pletcher and Charles E. Pletcher of
    Tonawanda. survive. The funeral will
    be held from the LaCross home at 2.30
    o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, the
    Rev C. Walton Jarvis officiating.
    Burial will be in Elmlawn cemetery.
