    WILSON. April 14-The marriage
    of Miss Gladys Maacks, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. William Maacks of
    Chestnut street, Wilson, to William
    Beutel was solemnized Saturday
    evening, April 11 at 7:00 o'clock in
    the North Ridge Lutheran church,
    the Rev. John P. Barkow officiating.
    The marriage vows were exchanged
    underneath an arch decorated with
    morning flories and Easter lillies
    and illuminated with electric lights.
    Spring plants also formed part of
    the decorations.
    The bride, escorted by Richard
    Beutel, was gowned in white flat
    crepe and a cap shaped veil with a
    wreath of orange blossoms and lily
    of the valley and set with twelve
    rhinestones. She wore white slip-
    pers and carried a shower bouquet
    of white roses, sweet peas and
    Easter lilies. Mrs. Carl Seigfried,
    matron of honoor, wore a princess
    gown of spun gold yellow. The
    bridesmaids, Miss Belva Donner,
    wore a similar gown of cactus rose
    while the Misses margaret and
    Loretta Goldpenny wore gowns alike
    of turquoise blue and orchid. Each
    wore an attractive bandeau set
    with thirteen rhinestones and car-
    ried a bouquet of roses contrasting
    with the color scheme of their
    dresses.
    The bridegroom was attended by
    Carl Seigfried. The ushers were Van
    Miles and Elmer Donner. Jeanette
    Schuman, niece of the bridegroom
    acted as flower girl. she wore a
    pink georgette frock and carried a
    basket of sweet peas and snap-
    dragons.
    A reception for thirty guests was
    held at the home of the brides
    parents. Decorations were white and
    blue, fifteen being seated at the
    bride's table which was centered
    with a huge bridal cake. After a
    motor trip to Washington, D. C.
    and other places, Mr. and Mrs.
    Beutel will make their home at
    East Wilson.
