NIAGARA FALLS — Leonard C. Sisler, Sr., 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at his residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by his family and friends. Born on June 23, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Helen (Turner) Sisler. On February 15, 1964, he married the former Mona Eddy of Niagara Falls NY.
Mr. Sisler was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. Leonard worked for Union Carbide and retired from Tulip Corporation in 2007. He was a former member of Frontier Volunteer Fire Company and Cataract Camping Association. Mr. Sisler enjoyed going to Roses Sons Bar, camping, hunting and above all, spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Sisler is survived by three children, John (Diane) Sisler, Tammy (Randy) Seelbinder and Skip (Julie) Sisler, all of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Justina Seelbinder, Michael (Elizabeth Garvey) Seelbinder and Sean, Patrick and Samuel Sisler, all of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Dolores (Wib) Swick of Decatur, IL, Jill Nickles Graves and Linda (Butch) Cracknell, both of Niagara Falls, NY; and one brother, Tom (Sharon) Sisler of Niagara Falls NY. Leonard is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Spencer (Doris) Eddy, Melvin (Nancy) Eddy and Lex (Sally) Eddy, all of Niagara Falls, NY; one cherished family friend who was like a daughter, Mindy Myers of Niagara Falls, NY; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Jane Marshall; brothers-in-law, Charles Nickles and Richard Graves.
Mr. Sisler graciously donated his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical gift program. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 4-7 PM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007), where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Robert Bellingham officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Charles Sisler in a candlelight sen-ice Saturday
(Feb. 15, 1964) at Pierce Avenue
United Presbyterian Church.
Dr. A. Ferman Kearney read the doublering
ceremony uniting in marriage the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
H. Eddy of Niagara Falls and the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold C. Sisler of 15th Street
John A. Eddy, brother of the bride, escorted
her to the altar. The bride wore a gown
of nylon and Alencon lace. A coronet of.
pearls held her bouffant veil of French
silk illusion. She carried a crescent of white
roses an

° MISS ARLENE COURTS was maid of
honor.-A red velveteen bodice accented her
gown of white brocade. The bride's cousin,
Miss Brenda J. Touchette, bridesmaid, was
gowned in white brocade with a green
velveteen bodice. Their flowers were white
carnations and ivy.
James Fitzpatrick was best man. Noel E.
Touchette, cousin of the bride, ushered the
guests.
° AN AFTERNOON RECEPTION was
held at the Armory Grill.
Mrs. Robert Marshall, sister of the
bride, greeted the guests in a dress of pink
crepe. The mother of the bridegroom wore
a. dress of navy blue crepe.
After a wedding trip to Detroit, Mich.,
Mr. and Mrs. Sisler will make their home
in Mansfield, Ohio.
