Wednesday (July 24, 1974)
after a short illness. Mr.
Barrand resided in Niagara
Falls, Ransomville and
Sanborn prior to moving to
Pekin in 1934. He was
employed at the Union Carbide
as a pipefitter for over 30
years, prior to retirement in
1959.
Survivors include his wife,
Maude Roberts Barrand; three
sons, William G. Barrand Jr.,
Robert A. Barrand, all of Sanborn,
Howard R. Barrand of
Niagara Falls, one daughter,
Mrs. John (Geraldine) Rogers
of North Tonawanda; one
brother, Hilton Barrand of
Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Cora
Scholtz of Wisconsin; also
survived by 16 grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late
Gordon W, Barrand.
The family will be present
at the Rhoney Funeral Home,
Inc., 5893 Hoover Road,

12. 1873. the son of the late George
and Frankie Slocum Roberts.
He lived in this village for the
lasj 18 years and was working for
the Bell Aircraft Corp. when he retired
nine years ago.
Surviving are his wife. Rose M.

RANSOMVILLE, April 28-Funeral
services for Mrs. Frankie Roberts, 79
years old, who died Sunday at Memorial
hospital, Niagara Falls, will be held
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock,
standard time, from the
funeral home here. The body will
lie at rest at Gentle's until the hour
of the service. The Rev. William D.
ClQUgh, pastor of the Ransomville
Baptist church, will officiate. Interment
will he In North Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by five
sons, Wallace, of Cambria;- Elmer and
Floyd, of Buffalo, Roy, of Lewiston,
and George, of Ransomville; two
daughters, Mrs. Susie White, of Buffalo,
and Mrs. Frankie Ryan, of St.
Louis; 26 grandchildren and six great
grandchildren. „
Mrs. Roberts was a lifelong resident
of Ransomville but for the past two
years had been making her home with
her son, Roy Roberts, at Lewiston.
Her husband, George Roberts, was
fatally injured in an auto accident six
years ago.
