    LYNDONVILLE, June 30 — The
    marriage of Miss Olive E. Sherman,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
    Sherman, Medina, to George W. Bane,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bane,
    Lyndonville, was solemnized Saturday
    afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev.
    R. H. Peele, a former pastor, at his
    home at. Somerset, In the presence of
    the immediate relatives.
    The bride was lovely In a gown of
    white satin and lace with bandeau
    and veil and carried white roses and
    sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Mlss Carolyn
    Sherman, sister of the bride, her
    only attendant, wore a gown of pink
    teffeta with pink accessories. Paul
    Banc, brother of the groom, was best
    man.
    Following the ceremony a 8 o'clock
    course dinner was served at Falrvlew
    Manor to 20 guests. Later a reception
    was held at the home of the bride's
    parents.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bane left for an extended
    motor trip through the New
    England states. Upon their return
    they will be at home at 160 Maple
    avenue, this village.
    Prenuptlal affairs were a green and
    ivory kitchen shower given by Mlss
    Dorothy Sherman, sister of the bride,
    and a variety shower by Miss Edna
    Munzell, of Lyndonville, at which the
    bride received many beautiful and
    useful gifts.

    LYNDONVILLE - Leonard
    Bane, 81, of 188 Maple Ave., Lyndonville,
    a building contractor for
    60 years in this area, died in his
    sleep early today (Sept. 20. 1962)
    at his home.
    Mr. Bane had been in failing
    health since his retirement in February
    of 1961.
    As a contractor, he was responsible
    for the erection of some 50
    buildings and 40 homes in the
    area, including the Citizens State
    Bank, Webber Bldg., Lyndonville
    High School and the Barker canning
    factory.
    He was born in the Town of
    Yates on Dec. 29, 1881, the son
    of Fred and Emma Houseman
    Bane. On Jan. 1, 1913, he married
    the former Martha Ward of Lyndonville.
    Mr. Bane was a member of the
    Lyndonville Methodist Church, a
    former noble grand of the International
    Order of Odd Fellows,
    and a member of the Masonic and
    Maccabee Lodges.
    Surviving, in addition to his
    wife, are four sons, George W.,
    Paul L-, and Floyd E., all of Lyndonville,
    and Gordon B.. of Medina;
    and nine grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at
    2 Saturday afternoon in t he
    Smythe Funeral Home with the
    Rev. Paul Franke, pastor of the
    Lyndonville Methodist Church, officiating.
    Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

    LYNDONVILLE - Mrs. Martha
    Bane, 75, formerly of Ma-.
    ple Avenue, widow of Leonard
    Bane, died Wednesday morning
    (Feb. 7, 1998) at the Bishop
    Nursing Home in Medina
    she had been a patient for
    about three years.
    She was born April 15. 1992
    in Brockport, a daughter of
    Benjamin J. and Carrie Greenman
    Ward.
    On Jan. 1, 1913, she was married
    to Mr. Bane who died in
    September 1962.
    Mrs. Bane was a member of
    Lyndonville Methodist Church
    and the Gleaners Code of the
    Woman's Society of Christian
    Service. She bad been a mem-
    ber of Yates Chapter 215. Order
    of Eastern,Star, and Lyndonia
    Rebekah Lodge 527.
    Surviving are four sons,
    George, Paul and Floyd Bane,
    all of here, Gordon Bane of
    dina; nine grandchildren: one
    sister, Mrs. Etta Engert of On-
    tario, N.Y., five nieces, one
    nephew and several cousins.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4

    and 7 to.9 p.m at the Smythe
    Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St
    Lyndonville, where funeral ser-
    vices will be conducted at 1:30
    p.m. Saturday by the Rev. How-
    ard Warriner.
    Burial will be in Lynhaven
    Cemetery.

    Mrs. Bane, a lifelong resident of
    this village, was the widow of Fred
    Bane, who died 23 years ago. she

    Webster, and Leonard, Fred and
    Timothy, of Lyndonville. and a
    brother, George Houseman.

    LYNDONVTLLE, Oct. 22 - Services
    for Mrs. Carrie Ward, 71, wife
    of Benjamin Ward, Maple avenue,
    who died Wednesday, were held in
    the home this afternoon, with the
    Rev. Frederick Mlttlefehldt, Buffalo,
    assisted by the Rev. Edward P.
    Gill, pastor of the Lyndonville M.
    E. church, officiating.
    Burial,was made in Lynhaven
    cemetery. Besides her husband,
    Mrs. Ward Is survived by one
    daughter, Mrs. Leonard Bane; two
    sisters, Mrs. Amelia Plummer and
    Mrs. Josle Lot, this villagee; also
    four grandchildren.
