    Betty Barber passed away May 5, 2020. She was born on May 22, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY a daughter of Herbert and Rhea (Keech) Becker. Betty attended Barker Central School. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, was a manager and demonstrator for Friendly Home Parties (Ideal Gifts) for 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Barber and granddaughter Brandi Drake. Betty is survived by her daughters Susan Palmer and Lorraine (Marshall) Bascom, Jr., grandchildren Allison, Mika, Daniel (Kelly) Drake, Natalie (Joshua) Woods, Nicholas Bascom, 13 great grandchildren. Interment will be held privately with the family in Cold Spring Cemetery.

    English Lutheran Church. Mrs.
    Barber is the former B e t ty
    Becker. Mr. Barber is serving in
    the U. S. Navy.

    Baskets of white lilies formed the background for the

    marriage of Miss Betty Becker, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs.
    Herbert Becker of 288 Walnut St. and Frank Barber Saturday
    evening at 7 o'clock at the First English Lutheran Church. The
    Rev. Ivan L Lange officiated at the ceremony.
    The bride was attired In a gown
    of white bridal satin fashioned with
    a redingote of Chantilly lace with
    high neckline and long sleeves
    pointed at the wrist. Her veil of
    nylon tulle edged with nylon lace
    was caught to a cap of seed pearls
    and she carried a cascade bouquet
    of whit« carnations and angel
    feathers.
    Miss Ann Becker of Barker,
    counsin of the bride, was maid of
    honor, wearing, a gown of pastel
    pink taffeta with overskirt of deeper
    pink nylon net and her head
    piece was of matching braided net
    entwined with white flowers.
    The bridesmaids were Miss Nancy
    Gormley whose gown was of
    pastel green taffeta with oversinrt
    of deeper green, and Miss Elaine
    Arnold of Barker, who wore pastel
    orchid taffeta with overskirt of
    darker orchid. They wore matching
    headpieces fashioned after the
    maid of honor's. All carried cascade
    bouquets of white carnations
    Kathleen Page of Uniontown.
    Pa., a cousin of the bride, was
    the flower girl.
    David Brown was best man and
    the ushers were David Korff and
    James Spedding.
    Appropriate organ music was
    provided by Mrs. George Webb and
    Miss Zora Gatley of Barker was
    soloist.
    Mrs. Becker chose a dress of
    light blue nylon marquisette over
    taffeta with white accessories and
    a corsage of white carnations.
    Following the ceremony a reception
    to 360 was held at t he
    home of the bride's parents, which
    was decorated with arrangements
    of garden flowers. Refreshments
    were served from a lace covered
    table, centered with a five-tiered
    wedding cake.
    For a trip to the Northeastern
    states the bride chose a suit dress
    of melon pink with white accessories
    and a corsage of white carnations
    and angel feathers.
    Out-of-town guests were f r om
    Genesee and Uniontown. Pa., Barker.
    Niagara Falls. Rochester and
    Albion.
    The bridegroom, who has been
    .serving in the U. S. Navy for the
    past eight months, is stationed at
    Earle, N.J.
    Pre-nuptial showers in honor of
    the bride wre given by the fol-
    lowing: Mrs. Lyle Jackson and
    Mrs. Elmer Warren at the home
    of Mrs. Jackson in Niagara Falls;
    Miss Elaine Arnold and Miss Phyl-
    lis Neithe at Miss Arnold's home;

    been granted an interlocutory decree
    of divorce from Herbert W
    Becker. Appleton, in papers on file
    today at the County Clerk's Office.
    The decree was granted by Supreme
    Court Justice John S.
    Marsh, Niagara Falls.
    They were married Feb. 6, 1931.
    in Wellsville. Justice Marsh granted
    the divorce on the grounds of
    infidelity.
    In lieu of support, the decree provides
    that the plaintiff shall be given
    a two-family house and certain
    furnishings in accordance with
    the terms of a separation agreement
    dated Sept. 23, 1954.

    Mrs. Alma Becker, 72, of 1711 Pierce Ave., today was listed as in "critical" condition at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital where she was admitted Wednesday afternoon after apparently suffering a heart attack at a store at Linwood Ave. and 18th St. By coincidence, fire fighters who were called to the scene to render first aid were led by her brother, Capt. Wilbur Haseley. Oxygen was administered for 25 minutes before Mrs. Becker was sent to the hospital in a Frontier ambulance.

    Widely Known 81-year-old Niagara County Native Passes Here
    Mrs. Ottilie Haseley. 81-year-old, native and lifelong resident of Niagara county, died at her home. 1820 Pierce Avenue last night. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 pm Saturday with services at St Peter's Lutheran Church Walmore, at 3:15 pm The Rev Edward Grabau will officiating. Burial will be in St Peters cemetery Walmore Born in the town of Niagara, Mrs Haseley lived on farms in the Lockport, Tuscarora, and Saunders Settlement roads before coming to Niagara Falls 18 years ago. She was a devoted member of St. Peter's church In Walmore. Her husband, the late William D. Haseley. died eight years ago. She is survived by four sons, Christ P. of Newfane: Elmer, of Lockport: Victor H. of North Tonawanda, and Wilbur P. of this city, and five daughters.
