Warsaw NY Wyoming County Times - 9/15/1966

Milton F. McConnell, 73, a har
ness rate judge and official for
25 years died Friday evening in
St Jerome. Hospital, Batavia.
Mr. McConnell lived at 43 Prospect
St., in Attica.
Born in Warsaw, he operated
the McConnell Insurance Agency
and later the Wise -McConnell In
aurance Agency to Attica for 45
years.
Mr. McConnell was active
harness racing throughout Western
New York until about five
years ago. He had also officiated
at races in Lexington, Ky and
was one of the first to insure
harness race horses in this area,
He is survived by his wife,
the former Ruth Peard of War-
saw and a son, James L. Decker
of Baltimore.
Funeral services were held Tues-
day at 1:30 p.m. in the Marley
Funeral Home, Attica. Burial
was in Warsaw Cemetery, War-
saw.
