    in Lewiston and to attend the wedding
    of their son, Mr. Whitney

    ing in St. Peter's. Catholic church,
    Lewlston.

    Lewiston was the setting for a love-
    to autumn wedding this morning
    when Miss Mary Margaret Piper, of
    Lewiston, became the bride of Mr
    Whitney Daggett Boardman, of
    Jacksonville, Pla. The quiet cere-
    ceremony was solemnized at 10 o'clock,
    with the Rev. James A Lanigan
    officiating.
    White chrysanthemums were used
    effectively in the church. Miss
    Loretto Reading, at the organ, with
    Miss Beatrice Farrell, of Erie, Pa.,
    soloist, furnished the musical setting
    for the service.
    The bride wore a becoming rust
    wool ensemble, the fitted coat fashioned
    with beaver buttons. Brown
    accessories and a green orchid corsage
    completed her costume.
    Miss Jeanne Piper, sister of the
    bride and her only attendant, wore
    a smart frock of gold wool with
    green hat and brown accessories.
    Her corsage was of violets.
    Mr. Henry Clay Mofatt of Buf-
    falo, was the best man and the ush-
    ers were Mr. Charles f. McKenna,
    Jr. of Rochester, and Mr. William
    E. Murphy, of Lewiston.
    A wedding breakfast served at

    the Hotel Niagara for the wedding
    party and immediate families.
    A reception was held later at the
    home of the bride's parents, Mr
    and Mrs. Arthur J. Piper, of Lewis-
    ton.
    The parents of the bridegroom,
    Mr. and Mrs. Albert D. Boardman,
    of Jacksonville, Fla., were present
    for the wedding.
    The families of both the bride and
    bridegroom have been prominent in
    the affairs of the village of Lewis-
    ton for many years. The bride-
    groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
    Robert Whitney, were members of
    the well known Barton and Wheeler
    families, of Lewiston. Mr. Piper,
    father of the bride, has been mayor
    of the village several times and has
    been active in the political life of
    the village.
    Mr. and Mrs. Boardman will make
    their home in Jacksonville, Fla.

    morning at ten o'clock, at the Roman
    Catholic church at North Ridge, the
    marriage of Miss Margaret Condren.
    daughter of Mrs. Bridget Condren, to
    Arthur Piper of Lewiston was solemn-
    ized. The bride and groom were attended
    by Miss Mary A. Murphy and
    Benjamin Piper, both of Lewiston.
    Following the- ceremony, the bridal
    party and guests adjourned to the
    home of the bride's mother, in this
    village, where a'delicious wedding dinner
    was served and a reception was
    held. The Sanborn guests included
    Mr. and Mrs. Richard McCarthy, Mr.
    and Mrs. Joseph Garlock, Mr. and
    Mr. Leroy Herminson-Mr.-and -Mrs.-
    Christopher Gelger and Mr. and Mrs.
    C. W Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Piper
    left Wednesday evening, for a short
    visit with relatives in Detroit. Mich.,
    and upon their return they will take
    up their residence in Lewiston.
