    LOUISVILLE, KY — Dorothy (Wilkins) Wolter, 89, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011. She was born October 22, 1921 in Wilson, NY to Willis and Helen Wilkins. She married Paul E. Wolter on June 22, 1946. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, until 2004, when she moved to Louisville, KY to live with her children.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Wolter. She is survived by a son, Peter Wolter (Karen); and two daughters, Deborah Wolter and Susan Wolter of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Memorial service Saturday, October 22, at 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Medina, NY.

    EAST WILSON, July 11-A pretty.
    June' wedding took place' on
    Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at
    St Peter's Lutheran church, in
    the' Beebe road, when the Rev. Carl
    W. Oldach united In marriage, at
    double ring ceremony. Miss Dorothy
    Helen Wilkins, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. William Wilkins, of
    the Beebe road, and Mr. Paul Edward
    Wolter, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Edward Wolter, of Mlddleport, before
    an altar decorated with roses,
    palms and lighted tapes.
    The bride, who was given In
    marriage by her father, was lovely
    in a gown with fitted bodice, long
    sleeves and full skirt of silk net extended

    to a long train. Her fingertip
    veil of French illuslon: edged
    with seed was caught from a tiara
    of seed pearls and orange blossoms
    and she carried a cascade bouquet
    of white roses. She wore a gold
    wrist watch a gift of the groom.
    Thurston Smith, sister of the
    bride, was matron of honor and
    wore a gown ot white net fashioned
    with fitted bodice and full skirt
    and carried a cascade bouquet of
    Talisman roses fled with matching
    ribbon.

    Mrs. Roland Wilkins, Mrs. Albert
    Scherer, Miss Alice Goodlander and
    Miss Katherine Wolters the bridesmaids,
    wore white taffeta gowns
    with' fitted bodices and yokes of illusion
    with long full skirts and car-
    ried cascade bouquets.of red roses.
    Ann Wilkins and Barbara Kugler,
    flower glrls, wore gowns of pale blue
    net with long skirts of tiered ruffles.
    They, carried' small colonial bouquets
    of red roses Michael Smith
    was the ring bearer.
    Roland Wilkins, brother of the
    bride was best man and the ushers
    were Albert Schurer, Carl Raduns,
    Karl Schurer and Franklin Eich.
    Mrs. W. Albright. organist, played

    the wedding inarch, and Thurston
    Smith sang; °'Because" and, "O
    Promise Me."
    The bride's mother wore a dress

    of gray silk print with white accessories
    and the bridgroom's mother
    wore; lavender flowered sheer with
    white accessories. Both wore corsages
    of yellow roses.
    A reception was held on the terrace

    at the white pillars Inn at
    Lockport with 150 guests present
    Mr. and Mrs. Wolter left for a
    wedding trip through the New
    England states. The bride chose a
    green suit with white accessories
    and gardenia corsage for traveling.
    Upon their return they will reside
    in Middleport.
    Out-of-town guests were present
    from Brockport, Lyndonville, Me-
    dina, Middleport, Lockport, North
    Tonawanda, Newfane and Wilson.
    Mrs. Wolter is a graduate of
    Newfane Central school and Roch-
    ester Business Institute. Mr. Wol-
    ter is a graduate of Middleport high
    school and Rochester Mechanics
    Institute. The bridegroom served
    as staff sergeant in the U. S. Army
    Medical Corp in the European the-
    ater.

    and Ruth Dean; variety shower,
    by Mrs. Roland Willkins and Mrs,.

    Mrs. Shirley Tudor; dinner party,
    by the office girls of Upson com-
    pany; kitchen and pantry shower,
    by Mrs. A. Schurer, Mrs. K. Schurer
    and Mrs. Katherine Wolter.

    MIDDLEPORT - Edward
    H. Wolter, 80, of 17 Mechanics
    St., died unexpectedly Monday
    (Oct. 18,1971). He was stricken
    at his home and was
    pronounced dead on arrival at
    Medina Memorial Hospital.
    A native and lifelong resident
    of Niagara County, he was born
    Sept. 28,1891 the son of William
    and Matilda Moll Wolter.
    He worked as a machinist for
    the Niagara Chemical Corp.
    for 25 years, retiring 22 years
    ago. He was a member of Holy
    Cross Lutheran Church.
    He is survived by his wife,;
    Alma Wolter; a son, Paul
    Wolter of Medina; three^
    daughters, Mrs. Carl-Randuns:
    of Basom and Mrs. Albert
    Schuner and Mrs. Karl
    Schuner, both of Lyndonville; a'
    stepdaughter, Mrs. Ronald
    Buls of Valparaiso, Ind.; a
    sister, Mrs. Edward Baehr of.
    Medina; 14 grandchildren, and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 2 p.m.;
    to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at
    the Wallace and Heath Funeral
    Home Inc., 38 State St., where
    services will be held Thursday
    at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross
    Lutheran Church.

    officiate.
    Burial will be in Mount
    Pleasant Cemetery, West
    Shelby.

    LOCKPORT-The funeral of Fred
    E. Bluhm, 83, who was found dead
    on the cellar floor of his home yesterday,
    will be held Monday at 2
    p.m. from the home, 599 Niagara
    street, and at 2:30 at Trinity Lutheran
    church. Burial will be in Trinity
    Lutheran Cold Springs cemetery.
    Mr. Bluhm apparently had gone
    to the basement to trim a coal bin
    when stricken. He was found when
    the coal man arrived to deliver a
    load of coal. Heart disease was the
    cause of death. Dr. Lyman H. Wheeler,
    health officer, said.
    Before he retired a few years ago.
    Mr. Bluhm was employed at the
    Niagara county garage. He Is survived
    by two daughters. Mrs. Frank
    R. Winters, of this city, and Mrs.
    Willis Wilklns. of East Wilson.

    ters, Albert Brauer, Roland and
    Willis Wilkins. Burial in Trinity
