    Miss Dorothy Widmer whose
    marriage to Mr. Harold J. Miller
    will take place May 24 at the Niagara
    United Presbyterian church,
    Town of Niagara, was honored at a
    variety shower by Mrs. Wallace
    Schultz and Mis. Frank Zahno, at
    the latter's home in Ransomvillc.
    In addition to many gifts, the
    bride-elect was presented with a corsage
    of yellow carnations, carrying
    out the yellow and white -color
    scheme of the luncheon table.
    Miss Widmer is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Widmer,
    Model City, while the bridegroomelect
    is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Richard C. Miller, Creekside parkway.

    Lillian Widmer, daughter of Mr. and

    Miller, Creekside parkway.
    The marriage .iodic place at the
    Niagara United Presbyterian church,
    which was decorated with baskets of
    white spring flowers. ~
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride carried a white Bible topped
    with a white orchid with lily-ofthe-
    valley streamers, with her ballerina
    length gown of nylon net and
    Venice lace. The shirred bodice of
    the gown rose from a fully gathered
    skirt. The jacket and skirt were
    trimmed with Venice lace 'and her
    headpiece of tulle with satin flowers
    held a shoulder length veil.
    Mrs. Donald Pollow was her cousin's'matron
    of honor.- .She was attired
    in a gown of Nile green net
    with a fitted bodice and gathered
    skirt. She wore a bolero- of net
    and taffeta, a net helmet and carried
    a colonial bouquet.
    Mr. Leonard F. Widmer, brother
    of the bride, was best man. The
    ushers were Mr. Robert Nuzum and
    Mr. William Davis.
    Dinner was served to 60 guests
    at the Buena Vista. Lewiston.
    Mrs. Widmer chose for her daughter's
    wedding a navy blue crepe dress
    with matching accessories. The
    bridegroom's mother favored a navy
    bide print frock and matching accessories.
    Mr. and Mrs. Miller will travel
    to the New England states for their
    wedding trip. For traveling the
    bride chose a blue suit with navy
    blue nad pink accessories.

    of Miss Lillian Zahno, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs..Frank Zahno. to Frederick
    -Widmer was solemnized at. the
    home of the brides parents on Thursday
    afternoon. December 19, at 5.
    o'clock." Rev. Barklow performed the
    ceremony.
    The. bride was very lovely In a gown
    of rose georgette~carrying pink roses
    and ferns. Mrs."Franklin Zahno acted
    as bridesmaid and wore tan-georgette
    carrying pink roses. Franklin Zahno
    acted as best man.
    Following the ceremony a dinner was
    served, covers being laid for 16 at the
    brides table, where decorations of pink
    and white prevailed. During the evening
    dancing and cards were enjoyed and
    at midnight a delicious luncheon was served.
    Forty-five- guests were
    from Buffalo. Niagara Falls. Model
    City and Ransomville. The happy
    couple left for a trip to New York
    city. . ,

    MODELTOWN, N. Y.-Reuben
    Widmer, 74, retired farmer, of this
    village, died Saturday at Memorial
    hospital, Niagara Falls, after a long
    period of failing health.
    Mr. Widner had been a successful
    fruit farmer for many years but
    retired when his farm was taken;
    over by the government as part of
    the site of the Lake Ontario Ord-
    nance Works. Since then he had
    been making his home here. He
    was a member of the Lewiston
    Presbyterian church and in former years
    took an active part in local
    affairs.
    Mr. Widmer is survived by three
    sons, Fred, of Modeltown. John.
    of Newfane, N. Y., and Alfred, of
    St. Albans. L. I.; one daughter,
    Miss Virginia Widmer, of Brooklyn,
    N. Y.; one brother, Oscar, of Wap-
    pingers Falls, N. Y.; two sisters,
    Mrs. William Martin, of Watertown,
    N. Y., and Marion W. Widmer,
    of Wapplngers Falls, N. Y,
    and six grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Hardison and Beattie funeral
    chapel, 1136 Main street, Niagara
    Falls, tomorrow afternon at 2:30
    o'clock. Thf Rev. George H. Bost,
    pastor of the Lewiston, N. Y., Presbyterian
    church, will officiate. Interment
    will be in Memorial Park
    cemetery.

    RANSOMVILLE, Sept. 2-Frank
    Zahno, a native and lifelong resident
    of the Town of Porter, died
    today at his home,. North Lake
    street, after a prolonged-illness.
    Mr. Zahno was born in the Town
    of Porter and was a farmer until
    his retirement several years ago.
    He was a member of St. Peter's
    Lutheran church, North Ridge.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
    Edith Zahno, four sons, Franklin.,
    Thomas and Glenn Zahno, all of
    Ransomville, and Edward Zahno,
    Niagara Falls; two daughters, Mrs.
    Fred Widmer and Mrs. Wallace
    Schultz, both of Lewiston;
    brother, Henry Zahno, Buffalo, 17
    grandchildren and one great grand-
    child.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Zahno home Friday at 2 p.m.
    and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's
    church, with the Rev. Carl Oldach
    officiating. Interment will be in
    North Ridge cemetery.

    Zahno, 85, of 4358 Porter Road,
    a lifelong resident of this area,
    died Friday (Nov. 4, 1966) at
    home after a,long illness.
    Mrs. Zahno was born Jan. 9,
    1881 in Ridge Road the daughter
    of the late Mr. and Mrs.
    John Heiden. She was the
    widow of Frank Zahno.
    Mrs. Zahno is survived by
    three sons, Franklin, Thomas
    and Glen Zahno, all of Ransomville;
    two daughters, Mrs.
    Frederick (Lillian) Widmer of
    Model City, and Mrs. Wallace
    (Edna) Scholtz of Ransomville;
    17 grandchildren, and 21 greatgrandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 1:30 p.m. Monday at
    the Hardlson Funeral Home
    here and at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's
    Lutheran Church, North Ridge,
    by Rev., William Faust, pastor
    of St; Peter's Church. Burial
    will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    funeral home from 2 p.m. to 5
    and 7 to 9 p.m.
