    PRINTBlake Howard Roggow, Sr., died at home in North Tonawanda on May 2, 2020 at age 66 after a long battle with lung disease. Son of the late Dean and Viola (nee McMillen) Roggow. Beloved Husband of Barbara A. (nee Connell) Roggow and the late Felicia M. Roggow. Loving father of Blake H. Roggow, Jr., Karen A. (Adam) Ross, Kelly J. (Andrew) Grzeskowiak, Brian M. (RaeAnne) Roggow and Kimberly B. (Scott) Duscher. Step-father of Nicholas (Addy) Stanton and the late Melissa Stanton.
    Proud grandfather of Ericka, Brooke, Brandi, Taylor, Adam, Bella, Ava, Kendall, Maria, Cameron, Dean, the late Gabrielle, Abby, Emma, Megan, Anthony, Max, Isabella, Sloane, Silas, Quinn, and the late Piper. Dear brother of Bonnie Siezega, Janet (the late Terry) Bronschidle, Daniel (Lauren) Roggow. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Blake was the owner of Custom Design Decks in North Tonawanda. He also worked for various contractors in the area. He was a great guy and family man, and his mother said that he was “the best boy in town.” His smile would light up the room. He loved golf, the New York Yankees and fishing for the big ones at Chautauqua Lake.

    Brunner Funeral Home, with
    Rev. Dr. Harold J. Brown officiating..
    Burial will be in
    Friedens Cemetery.
    Mr. Roggow died Wednesday
    (Feb. 12, 1964) at DeGraff
    Memorial Hospital, two hours
    after he was admitted- following
    a heart attack.
    He was a lifelong resident
    of this city and a veteran of
    World War I. He was a member
    of Fir&t Presbyterian
    Church in Tonawanda, a life
    member of Tonawanda Masonic
    Lodge No. 247 and a
    member of Tonawandas Post
    No. 264, American Legion.
    He was employed for 20
    years by the Durez Plastics
    Corp., retiring three years
    ago.
    Survivors i n c l u d e his
    widow, the former Olga Howard;
    a son, Dean Roggow, and
    three brothers, Norman, Earl
    and Waldemar Roggow, all of
    this city, and four grandchildren
    and two great-grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be
    conducted by the American
    Legion post tonight at 8. The
    Masonic lodge also will have
    a service, at 8:30. Both services
    will be at the funeral
    home.

    Stricken with a heart attack while
    attending services at Frieden's
    church in Schenck street last night,
    Mrs.Helena Roggow, 65, of 220 Robn.
    street, expired shortly after-
    ward. She was a lifelong resident
    of this city and the wife of former
    Alderman Gustave F. Roggow.
    Besides her husband, she leaves
    a daughter, Mrs. William Albright;
    four sons, Waldemar R., George H.,
    Norman H. and Earl L- Roggow;
    nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.
    William Schultz. and a brother,
    Charles Schumacher, all of this city.
    The funeral will be held Saturday
    afternoon at 2:30 o'clock front the
    home with Interment in Frieden's
    cemetery.
    Mrs. Roggow was a member of
    the Frieden's church, the Martha
    Sewing circle and the Women's
    Guild of the church
