Obituary of Durwood J. Rohring
Durwood J. Rohring, age 91, of the Town of Lockport and husband of 70 years to Audrey A. Rohring died on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Durwood was born on December 16, 1928 in the Town of Cambria, NY. He is the son of the late Howard A. and the late Florence M. (Koller) Rohring. He married Audrey A. Rohring on April 22, 1950. He was employed by GM/Harrison Radiator as Line Operator retiring after 30 plus years. Durwood enjoyed trips to the casino, he was a member of the UAW travel club and was an active hunter in his younger days. Durwood and Audrey were members of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge for many years. He is survived by his wife: Audrey, his children; Douglas (Wanda) Rohring , Craig (Diane) Rohring , Dennis (Kristin) Rohring; his sister, Norma Kroening; two grandchildren, Rebecca (Kevin) Dillenbeck and Danielle Rohring also a great grandchild, Branden Dillenbeck and several nieces and nephews. Audrey A. Rohring, age 94, of the Town of Lockport died on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at home with her son and daughter in law by her side while she was under the care of Niagara Hospice. Audrey was born November 10, 1927, in the Town of Wilson, NY. She is the daughter of the late Harry and the late Anna (Bonstead) Rohring. Audrey married Durwood J. Rohring on April 22, 1950, he predeceased her on October 8th, 2020. Audrey worked at GM/ Harrison Radiator as a line operator for 14 years retiring at age 60 in 1987. She enjoyed trips to the casinos and was a member of the UAW Travel Club. She was a avid bowler and bowled on the church bowling league for many years, Audrey loved to bake as well. Audrey and her later husband Durwood were members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at North Ridge for many years. She is survived by three sons; Douglas (Wanda) Rohring of Albion, NY, Craig (Diane) Rohring of Georgia and Dennis (Kristin) Rohring of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Kevin) Dillenbeck and Danielle Rohring also a great grandson Brandon Dillenbeck who shed loved spending time with; several nieces and nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Durwood and her brother Douglas C. Rohring who passed away during the war in 1944.There will be no callings hours. Funeral services will be private with her family. WILSON, April 22.-Louis Rohring,
74 years old, died at the home of his
brother, William C. Rohring, on Lake
street, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Roh-
ring had been ill since last November
but was confined to his bed only one
week.
He was born at Axelshoff. Germany
in 1860 and came here In 1882.
With the exception of four years in
Pennsylvania and one year In Roches-
ter, he had spent his entire life in
this township. He was a farmer and
a member of St. Peter's Lutheran
church of North Ridge.
In 1886 he married Lena Rohring,
who died three years ago. He is sur-
vived by three sons, Edward, Walter,
and Howard, all of Wilson; ten grand-
children; one great grandchild; two
brothers, John C., of North East, Pa.,
and William C. of Wilson, at whose
home he died, and one sister. Mrs.
Hannah Schrader. of Lockport.
The funeral wlll be held Tuesday
afternoon at 1:30 from the William
C. Rohring home and at 2 o'clock
from St. Peter's church. Rev. John
P. Barkow will officiate and burial
will be in St. Peter's Lutheran ceme-
tery, North Ridge.

yesterday at 2 o'clock from the
home and 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's
Evangelical Lutheran church. The

Rohring. William Gelseler. Herbert
Seeloff. Fred Fredericks and Leonard
Schultz. Interment was in St.

she had been a patient for a

She was bom in Germany
Oct. 5, 1882, and came to the
United States when a young
child. She was a member of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, North
Ridge.
She - is survived by five
daughters, Mrs. Howard (Florence)
Rohring, Mrs. Elmer
(Verna) Grose, Mrs. Valentine
(Irene) Pelegrino, all of this
city; Mrs. Walter (Alice) Roh-
ring, Gasport; and Miss Marjorie
Koller, Rochester; one son,
Elton Koller, Bergholtz; a sister,
Mrs. Albert Donner, Lockport;
two brothers, Rudolph
Hillman, of North Ridge, and
Charles Hillman, Ransomville;
seven grandchildren and 24
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston,
and at 2 p.m. at St. Pet-
er's Luliheran Church, North
Ridge, with the Rev. David
Musail officiating. Burial will
be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

F. Rohring, 81, of the Wilson-
Cambria Rd., died yesterday afternoon
at Ransomville General Hospital
after'an illness of a few days.
Funeral services will be held
Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the family
home and at 3 o'clock at St.
Peter's* Lutheran Church, North
Ridge. The Rev. Carl W. Oldach
will officiate. Interment will be in
North Ridge Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Rohring is survived by his
wife, Agusta Rohring, at'home;
two sons, Harry, North Ridge, and
Chester, Wilson-Cambria Rd.; five
grandchildren; two great grandchildren;
one brother, Fred Rohring,
Town of Wilson, and three
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Fillingham and
Mrs. Martha Buckley, Town of
Wilson, and Mrs. Louise Miller,
Lockport.
Mr. Rohring was born in Germany,
Oct. 28, 1872, came to
the United States when a boy, and
lived in Pennsylvania-for a short
time. He had lived here most of
his life and was a successful farmer.
He was an active member of St.
Peter's Church.

NORTH RIDGE - Charles F.
Bohnstadt. 81. of 4143 N. Ridge
Rd-, a retired farmer and resident
of this community for the
past 39 years, died Monday (May
30. 1960) in his home.
A native of Germany, where he
was born on Jan. 21. 1879. Mr.
Bohnstadt was the son of the late
August and Wilhelmina Bohnstadt.
He moved here in 1906. His
wife, Mrs. Anna Bohnstadt, died
in 1921. Mr. Bohnstadt was a
member of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church here,
He is survived by a son, Paul
Bohnstadt of Wilson; three
daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bluhm,
Mrs. Anna Rohring and Mrs. El-
la Steadman, all of Lockport; a
brother, Rudolf of Lockport; six
grandchildren, 10 great grand-
children, and several relatives in
Germany.
Services will be conducted at 2
Thursday afternoon in his home,
and at 2:30 in St. Peter's Lu-
theran Church. Burial will be in
the Lutheran Cemetery.

The marriage of Miss Margaret
Bohnstadt and Elton Bluhm took
okace Wednesday evening, January
16th, at the St. Peter's German Lu-
theran church on Church road. The
Rev. John Barkow officiated. Miss
Hilda Bentel of Lockport was bridesmaid
and Paul Bluhm was best man.
The bride wore a gown of gray silk
canton crepe and carried pink carnations.
A reception w a s held a t the
home of the bride's father, Charles
Bohnstadt. about. 30 -guests being
present. Twelve were seated at the
bride's' table, which was decorated in
yellow'and white.
The newly wedded pair will reside
in Cambria
