    A beautiful wedding was solemnized on Saturday afternoon,
    at o'clock in the First Evangelical church, when Miss
    Loretta Mary Rumbold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy C.
    Rumbold of 273 Broad street, became the bride of Mr. Oscar
    Schulte, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schulte of 273 Niagara
    street, the Rev. L. W. Driftmyer performing the cerenony.
    The church decorations were yellow and white pom
    pons, pink roses, ferns and Cathedral candles.

    Give in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a gown of white
    satin having a sweetheart neck-
    Hat and long train. Her fingertip
    veil of illusion fell from a halo
    of orange blossoms, and she carried
    a shower bouquet of white
    pompons, roses and orchids.
    Miss Shirley Zuckmaier was
    maid of honor wearing rust color
    lace and net and her bouquet was
    of yellow pompons and pink roses
    tied with yellow ribbon. Miss
    Nancy Rose and Miss Marilyn
    Luick were bridesmaids wearing
    green lace and net and they carried
    rust pompons and pink roses
    tied with yellow and rust ribbon.
    All three attendants wore yellow
    pompons and pink roses in their
    hair.
    Miss Nancy Schumacher, flower
    girl, was in corn blue net and
    carried a white basket filled with
    pink roses.
    Mr. Frank Lynch was best man,
    and the ushers were Mr. Clyde
    Shulte, brother of the groom, and
    Mr. Edward Miktis.
    The bride's mother chose a royal
    blue suit and hat; the groom's
    mother, green crepe, and Mrs.
    Shulte, the groom's grandmother,
    was in black crepe. All wore corsages
    of yellow and white pompons.
    Mrs. Katharine Selover played
    the wedding music and Miss Vera
    Robillard sang.
    Following the ceremony a reception
    for 150 guests was given
    at the home of the bride's parents,
    where the house decorations
    were bouquets of yellow and
    white pompons and pink roses.
    Covers were laid for twelve at
    the bride's table attractive with
    the same flowers, also a large
    wedding cake and candles, and
    the other guests were seated at
    small tables.
    Mr. and Mrs. Shulte left for a
    wedding trip, the bride's going
    away costume being a teal blue
    velvet suit, with raspberry hat
    and accessories, and a short fur
    coat, with an orchid corsage. They
    will be at home after November
    1, in 119 Grove street, Apt 2.
    Pre-nuptial parties in comple-
    ment to the bride wre given by
    Mrs. C. J. Holler, Mrs. Albert Rau,
    Miss Nancy Rose, Miss Shirley
    Zuckmaier, Miss Marilyn Luick,
    Mrs. George Trautman, Mrs.
    Frank Voetsch, Mrs. La Vern
    Schmeichel and Mrs. Eugene
    Trautman.

    Word was received of the death
    of William P. Rumbold, 65 years
    old, a former resident of Tona
    wanda, at his home in Bellaire,
    L. I., this morning. His death followed
    a lingering illness. The
    body will be brought to Tonawanda
    for burial. Surviving are a wife,
    Cora; a son, Charles H. Rumbold,
    Tonawanda, and three brothers,
    Jacob H., Kenmore, Frank F., Ton-
    awanda, and John G., whose pre-
    sent location is unknown.

    Among the survivors of the late
    Mrs. George Henry Rumbold, who died
    Wednesday afternoon at her home at
    26 Delaware street, is Mr. John G Rumbold,
    of Buffalo, whose name was
    unintentionally omitted from the notice
    in last night's paper.

    North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 8/6/1908

    Death yesterday afternoon removed
    from the Tonawandas another of the
    pioneer settlers, when Mrs. George
    Henry Rumbold of 26 Delaware street
    passed away after an illness of 12
    weeks. The deceased was the mother
    of Mr. Jacob H. Rumbold of North
    Tonawanda, W. P. Rumbold of New
    York, F. F. Rumbold of Tonawanda
    and of Mrs. William Steele of Tona
    wanda. A husband and two brothers,
    Peter and Henry Smith, and two sis
    ters, Mrs. William Dick and Mrs. Fred
    Weiser, also survive. Mrs. Rumbold
    was 60 years of age, and "had lived in
    the Twin Cities for the past 55 years
    The funeral will take place from the
    house at 26 Delaware street, Sunday
    afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. E.
    F. Randall officiating. The remains
    will be laid to rest in Elmlawn ceme-
    tery.
