Funeral services are scheduled
tomorrow for Walter L. Rumbold, a
former North Tonawanda alderman,
who died yesterday in Bethesda, Md.
The services are scheduled at 2 p.m.
at the Carlton A. Ullrich Funeral Home
in Buffalo.
Mr. Rumbold, a North Tonawanda
native, served as an alderman in the
early 30s and was a member of the
building committee which oversaw
construction of the present City Hall on
Payne Avenue.
He was also a member of
Tonawandas Post 264, American
Legion; Tonawanda Commandery 78,
Knights Templar; Tonawanda Chapter
278, RAM, and Sutherland Lodge 826,
F&AM.
He is survived by his wife,
Katherine; a daughter, Mrs. Helen M.
Clark of Maryland; and a grandson,
James W.Clark.

Walter married Katherine about 1918. Katherine was born on 2 Jun 1893 in New York; died on 2 Jan 1990 in Kensington, Montgomery County, MD. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The, funeral of John Rumbold will
be held Monday afternoon at 2
o'clock from the late residence on
Zimmerman street. Rev. Charles H.
Bloom of the Payne Avenue Church
of Christ will conduct the service and
burial will be at Elm lawn.

Mrs. Charlotte Rumbold, 62
years old, wife of the late John
Rumbolt, died this morning at
her home, 143 Zimmerman street.
She was a life-long resident of
north Tonawanda. She is sur-
vived by a son, Alderman Walter
Rumbold; two daughters, the
Misses Irene and Ruth Rumbold;
three brothers, Louis, Charles and
Frank Reinbolt, and four sisters,
Mrs. Frank Niehouse, Mrs. Rich-
ard Hempel and Mrs. George
Lockman, all of the Tonawandas,
and Mrs. Peter Mislin, Buffalo.

Jacob Rumbold, aged 79 years,
died yesterday afternoon of bronchitis
at his home on Robinson
street. The deceased was one of the
Tonawandas, oldest and most respected
citizens, having being a resident
here for the past 51 years.
Mrs. Barbara Rumbold, his wife;
three daughters Mrs. Ernstlng, Mrs
Joseph Hyland and Mrs. John Stackhouse,
and t w o sons John and
Walter survive. The notice of the
funeral which will take place on Friday
will be given tomorrow.

Mrs. Barbara A, Rumbold, 85 years
old, widow of Jacob Rumbold, died al
her home at No. 783 Robinson street
this morning, after a lingering illness.
She was born in Germany and had liv-
ed in North Tonawanda during the
past sixty years. Two sons, Valentine
and John Rumbold. and three daughters,
Mrs. Joseph Hyland, Mrs. Frank
Atwood and Mrs. Charles Ernestine,
all of Tonawanda, survive.
