    NEWFANE.-Miss Wllma Rutland,
    of Main street, and Leonard
    Case, of Olcott, were united In marriage
    at a beautiful ceremony In
    the local Methodist church Saturday
    at 4 o'clock by the Rev. James
    S. Wilson, pastor of the church.
    Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Mabel
    Bigalow, church organist, rendered
    a program of music which concluded
    with the wedding march.
    The bride was charming In her
    gown of white moire with long
    train and veil. She carried an arm
    bouquet of bride's roses. Her sister,
    Mrs. Waldon Dempsey, of Lockport,
    was matron of honor and she wore
    dust: rose taffeta.
    The bridesmaids were her sisters,
    Mrs. Thomas Adamson and Miss
    Lois Rutland, and the groom's sister,
    Miss Lorlnda Case. All wore
    aqua taffeta with full skirts and
    sweetheart necks and carriad -colonial
    bouquets. Their headpieces
    were fresh flowers and ribbons.
    William Keopeel, of Hudson Falls,
    was his cousin's best man. The ushers
    were Alan Rutland. Waldon
    Dempsey and Fred Vanderbllt.
    Mrs. Rutland wore frosted grape
    and Mrs. Case burgundy dresses.
    The church was attractively decorated
    with pink gladioli.
    A reception to 40 .Was held at the
    home of the bride's parents, Mr.
    and Mrs. Richard Rutland, of
    North Main street. The bride's table
    was laid with a lace cloth and centered
    with a three-tier wedding
    cake. The flowers were white asters
    and white tapers burned at either
    end.
    Mr. and Mrs. Case left on a brief
    eastern trip, her traveling costume
    ???ng brown, green and white.
    They are now at home in Spauldlng

    street, Lockport.
    Premtpual events included a bridal
    shower given by Mrs. Anna Corwln
    and Mrs. William Marsland; a
    supper at Paris hotel by Mrs. Adamson,
    Mrs. Dempsey and Mrs. Alan
    Rutland; a rose and gold bedroom
    shower by Mrs. LaVern Powley, of
    Middleport. a luncheon at Maple
    Brook manor and coral and green
    bathroom shower by Miss Loralne
    Swlck, a variety shower by Mrs.
    Charles Mahl, Mrs. Richard Rutland
    and Mrs. Clyde Toennlessen
    and a blue and white kitchen shower
    by Mrs. Case and Miss Lorlnda
    Case, .of Olcott.

    NEWPANE-Mrs. Mary Elizabeth
    Rutland, 57, died last evening at her
    home, in North Main street after
    a cerebral hemorrhage suffered Satur-
    day night.
    Mrs. Rutland was bom March ??
    1884, a daughter of the late Charles
    and Isabelle Shannon, she was
    a past noble grand of Cheer Re-
    bekah Lodge, No. 588. a member of
    the Methodist Women; Christle
    Servlce society, the Miller
    company auxiliary and the Friend-
    ship circle.
    She Is survived by her husband,
    Richard E. Rutland: four daughters
    Mrs. Thomas Adamson. Mrs. Leon-
    ard Case, Miss Lois Rutland all of
    Newfane, and Mrs. Weldon
    sey, of Lockport; two sons. R.
    Rutland, of Newfane, and Private
    Charles Rutland, of Fort Bragg
    N. C and a sister, Mrs. Anna Cor-
    win, of Newfane.
