for 35 years before
retiring in 1964. He was a
member of the Holy
Name Society at St.
Francis of Assisi
Church, Conrad Kanla
Detachment of the
Marine Corps League
and a life member of
Niagara Hose Company
No. 3-in Tonawanda.
He is survived by his
wife, Doris (nee Murphy)
Schmeiehel; a son,
Donald J. Schmeichel; a
daughter-in-law, Mrs.
Joyce Schmeichel and
two granddaughters,
Teresa and Tracy Schm
e i c h e l , all of
Tonawanda, a sister,
Mrs. William (Alice)
Collins of Buffalo and
many nieces and
nephews.
The family will be
present from 7-9 p.m.
Wednesday and 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Thursday at the
Hamp Funeral Home,
Inc., Adam and Seymour
Sts., Tonawanda where
prayers will be said at 9
a.m., Friday followed by
a Mass of Christian
Burial at 9:30 a.m., at St.
Francis of Assisi
Church, the Rt. Rev.
Msgr. Ralph M. Miller
officiating. Interment
Elmlawn Cemetery. In

who died Monday (Feb. 15,
1960) at her home.
Born in Toronto, Ont, she
had lived In this city for the
last 22 years and was a member
of St. Mark's Episcopal
Church.
She is survived by her husband,
Cecil C. Rhodes and a
daughter, Miss Joyce Rhodes,
both of this city; two sons,
PFC Roger A. Rhodes, U. S.
Marines, New River, N. C.
and Ronald C. Rhodes, this
city; h e r parents, Mr. and
Mrs. George Allen, and a
brother, Clarence Allen, all
of Toronto, and three sisters,
Mrs. Jack Bradford, New Toronto,
and Mrs. Thomas Benns,
Oakville, Ont.
