JOHN STAHL
Middleport - John, Stahl, 71, retired superintendent of the water department at Middleport, died Sunday evening, (May 8, 1949) in his home here. He had lived here for the past 50 years. Friends may call at the Wallace & Heath Funeral Home where services are to be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Martha Stahl; a son, Duane Stahl, and a daughter. Mrs. Gordon Peters, all of Middleport; three grandchildren; two brothers, Rudolph Stahl of Royalton Center and Amiel Stahl of Wolcottsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Klino Sr. of Middleport and Mrs. Albert Fiertz of Medina, and several nieces and nephews.

John married NIGHTHEART, Martha about 1901 in Indian Falls, Genesee County, NY. Martha was born on 19 Oct 1879 in Indian Falls, Genesee County, NY; died on 13 Sep 1966 in Gasport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

August married CLEMENT, Marie Charlotte Amalie about 1860. Marie was born in Sep 1841 in Hessen, Germany; died on 22 May 1920 in Town of Royalton, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

DEATH OF MRS. STAHL
MIDDLEPORT, May 24 - Mrs August Stahl. age 78 years, died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Fiertz, east of the village on the State road. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Fiertz, Mrs. August Schrader of Middleport, Mrs. John Schrader of Medina, Mrs. Lewis Klino of the Ridge road, three sons Charles and John Stahl at Middleport and Rudolph Stahl of Royalton Center. two sisters, one at Wolcottsville and one at the Ridge. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock, new time, from the Fiertz home. Burial at Mountain Ridge cemetery.
