    The Quaker Road Methodist
    Church was the scene of the
    wedding of Miss Loretta Joyce
    Payne, daughter of Mr, and
    Mrs. Chester Payne, Hartland
    Road, to Howard Gary Harrod,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard J.
    Harrod, Barker, September 21,
    1937, at 3 o'clock
    The altar was decorated with

    baskets of white gladioli for the
    ceremony, solemnized by the
    Rev. Edward Deighton. The
    bride, given in marriage by her
    father, wore white chantilly lace
    over taffeta, with a.sweetheart
    n e c k l i n e and elbow-length
    sleeves. .Her finger-tip length
    veil of illusion was caught by a
    crown of seed pearls: She carried
    a cascade bouquet of white
    carnations.
    Miss Joan Payne, sister of the

    bride, was maid of honor. She
    wore a gown of imported lace
    over blue taffeta with a match-
    ing pearl headdress, and carried

    a cascade arrangement of blue
    and white carnations.
    Miss Patricia Payne, another
    sister of the bride, was brides-
    maid. She wore a pink lace
    gown over pink taffeta with
    matching pearl headpiece and
    carried a bouquet of pink and
    white carnations.
    William Leon Harrod, Barker,

    was his brodier's best man and
    ushers were Brian J. Harold
    and Roger Payne.
    A gray dress with white accessories

    and a corsage of pink
    and white carnations- was the
    choice of Mrs. Payne, mother of
    the bride, for the reception at
    Somerset grange hall. A brown
    wool dress'with beige accessories
    and a corsage of white and yellow
    carnations were chosen by
    the groom's mother.
    For her honeymoon to Michigan,
    the bride wore an aqua and
    white wool suit. The couple are
    at noma on Caledonia Street,
    Newfane.
