    Seelow, 92, of the Newfane
    Nursing Home, formerly of
    Ridgeway, died Sunday (May
    28, 1972) at the Inter-
    Community Memorial Hospital
    at Newfane, where he had been
    a patient for one.day.
    A native of Newfane, he was
    born June 4, 1879 the son of
    Lewis and Minnie Haygen
    Seelow. He had been a selfemployed
    painter and
    paperhanger in the Newfane
    area until his retirement many
    years ago.
    Husband of the late Gertrude
    Sahr Seelow, he is survived by
    a son, Donald D. Seelow of
    Lockport; two daughters, Mrs.
    Detrick (Esther) Gruntz of St.
    Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs.
    Elsie Benteau of Lancaster,
    Calif., and several grandchildren,
    nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at their
    convenience at the Kenneth M.
    Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
    East Ave., where services will
    be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
    The Rev. Lee Miller of the
    First English Lutheran
    Church, Lockport, will officiate.
    Burial will be inWrights
    Corners Cemetery.

    NEWFANE-Mrs. Gertrude
    Seelow, 72, formerly of 7018
    Ridge Road, Ridgewood, died
    today (Jan. 15, 1965) at Hilltop
    Nursing Home, Gasport, where
    she had been a resident for
    seven months.
    She was born Feb. 5. 1892,
    at Martinsville, now a part of
    North Tonawanda, a daughter
    of John and Christine Zanow
    Sahr. She married Frank Seelow,
    of Gasport, in Buffalo on
    July 27, 1929.
    Mrs. Seelow was a member
    of I m m a n u e l Lutheran
    Church, Ridgewood, and its
    Ladies Aid Society.
    Surviving, in addition to her
    husband, are a son, John Boye,
    and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy
    Vincent, both in California; a
    stepson, Donald Seelow, Lockport;
    two step-daughters, Mrs.
    Esther Gruntz, Lockport, and
    Mrs. Elsie D e n t e a n, in California;
    a b r o t h e r , George
    Sahr, Newfane; three sisters,
    Mrs. Matilda Volschow, New-
    fane, Mrs. Mary Stolzenberg,
    Olcott, and Mrs. Donald
    Bendt, Lockport, and four
    grandchildren.
    Beginning at 7 t o n i g h t,
    friends may call at the Kenneth
    H. Sherrie Funeral Home.
    The family will be present tonight
    from 7-9 p.m. and on
    Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
    Services will be held at the
    funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday,
    Rev. August Kreutz officiating.
    B u r i a l will be In
    Wrights Corners Cemetery.
