    Frank W. Semper, 65, of 344
    Ward Rd., a lifelong resident of
    the Tonawandas, died yesterday
    morning in the DeGraff Memorial
    hospital after a prolonged illness.
    Bom in Tonawanda, he had lived
    . North Tonawanda the past 25
    years.
    Mr. Semper was a member of
    the Delaware Hose Company for
    35 years. He was also a member
    of the St. Peter's Evangelical and
    Reformed Church on Oliver St.
    Members of the Delaware Hose
    Company will meet at the company
    quarters at 8:30 o'clock this
    evening to pay their respects.
    President Alton Wolf of the
    Delawares has requested that the
    following members of the company's
    Funeral Committee attend:
    Arthur Vigrass, Melvin Getty,
    Sullivan Miano, William Getty,
    Laverne Getty, Stephen Syposs,
    Raymond Schreiber, Peter Kokanovich
    and Carl Moe.
    Mr. Semper is survived by his
    wife, Amelia nee Stahl; a son,
    Franklin of North Tonawanda;
    two daughters, Mrs. Frank Stone
    and Mrs. Albert Hawkins of North
    Tonawanda; three grandchildren;
    a brother, Arthur of Tonawanda,
    and a sister, Mrs. William Ross .of
    Tonawanda.
    Funeral services will be held
    in the residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday
    atternoon. The Rev. J. J.
    Braun will officiate. Interment
    will be in White Chapel Memorial
    Park.

    TONAWANDA. Aug 25 - Mrs.
    Mary Wink 8emper. 91. one of Tonawanda's oldest residents and the
    last charter member of the Women's
    guild of the Salem Evangelical and
    Reformed church, died yesterday at
    her home, 60 Simson street, after a
    long Illness.
    Mrs. Semper, a life long resident
    here. Is survived by a daughter. Mrs.
    William Ross; two sons, Frank and
    Arthur Semper. of the Tonawandas.
    six grandchildren and seven great
    grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday
    at 2 p. m. at the home. The
    Rev. Walter P. Hetzel will officiate
    and Interment will be In Salem
    cemetery.

    Jacob Stahl, 72 years old, died last
    night at Ills home in the village of
    Getzville, town of Amherst, from injuries
    sustained in a fall from a load
    of hay the day before.
    Stahl was riding on top of the hay
    and was driving across a field on his
    farm when he was jolted off by the
    wheels of the wagon hitting a deep
    ditch. He struck the ground on his
    head. Injuries to the'spine caused
    death.
    Stahl was a life long resident of
    Getzville and one of the best known
    farmers in Amherst. He is survived
    by a wife; six daughters, Mrs. George
    Mock, Mra. Henry Planner and Mrs.
    Frank Semper of the Tonawandas,
    Mm Bert, Liskopf of Buffalo. Mrs.
    James Knight of Getzville and Mrs.
    Louis Stockert of Swormsvllle, and
    one son, Alvin Stahl of Wendelville.
    The funeral will be held Sunday after
    noon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial win be
    at the Skinnersville cemetery.

    The funeral of Mrs. Catherine
    Stahl, who died Saturday at the
    home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert
    Stecker, Transit road town of Amherst,
    will be held from the Stecker
    home tomorrow afternoon at 2
    o'clock, and an hour later from
    the Skinnersville Lutheran church.
    Burial will be at Skinnersville.
    Mrs. Stahl, was the wife of the
    late Jacob Stahl. She is survived
    by a son, Alvin Stahl, Pendleton;
    six daughters, Mrs. George Muck,
    Mrs. Henry Pfanner, Tonawandas;
    Mrs. James Knight, Getzville, Mrs.
    Albert Liscoff and Mrs. Stecker;
    ten grandchildren, two great,
    grandchildren, a brother, George
    Guinther, Tonawanda, and a sister,
    Mrs. Charles Fick, Pendleton.
