    CARL BUCKNER
    WILSON—Carl Buckner, 72,
    of 171 Lake St., here, died
    Wednesday (Dec. 29, 1971) at
    the Newfane Inter-Community
    Hospital.
    He was born Aug. 21,1899 in
    Medina, the son of Edward and
    Pearl Wood Buckner. He
    married Gladys Stahl on April
    27, ,1924 in North Tonawanda.
    They moved to Wilson in 1926.
    He was employed by
    Hamilton and Clark Inc. from
    1926 to 1956 and part-time at the
    Wilson Central School as a
    custodian and bus driver from
    1944 to 1956 and fulltime from
    1956 until his retirement in
    1963.
    For six years he taught
    upholstery to adult education
    classes at the Wilson Central
    School. -
    He was a member of the
    Exley United Methodist
    Church and was an exempt
    volunteer fireman of the
    Wilson Volunteer Fire Co.
    Besides his wife, he is survived
    by two daughters, Mrs.
    Glenn (Gwenn) Martin of
    North Tonawanda and Mrs.
    Robert (Brenda) Bradley of
    Newfane; a sister, Mrs. Edward
    (Mildred) Stull of Kenmore;
    a grandson, Scott
    Martin, and three granddaughters,
    Ellen Martin,
    Kimberly Bradley and Nadine
    Bradley.
    Friends may call at the
    Hamilton and Clark Funeral
    Chapel, where funeral services
    will be held Friday at 3:30
    p.m., with the Rev. Gordon
    Loomis officiating. Burial will
    be in Mountain Ridge
    Cemetery, Town of Royalton.

    Gladys Buckner loved...loved life, loved Carl, loved her daughters and her grandchildren and there was nothing in the world she would not do or sacrifice of herself for them.

    Her life was not easy she lost four infant sons but rejoiced in the two daughters who brought joy to her heart and completion to her and Carl's family.

    It was a life of very hard work interspersed with laughter and joy evidenced by a family album of fishing trips and picnics and homemade food for Gladys Buckner was a wonderful cook. She always made every holiday memorable with handmade decorations; the ones that take more time than money...the special ones.

    Mary Pearl succumbed to complications of childbirth which eventually resulted in the dissolution of her family. Her and Edward's one week old newborn daughter; Mildred, was adopted by the Hellert Family. The youngest son Charles was retained by his Father and the oldest son Carl was set off on his own at age 13 to fend for himself. The three siblings were not to reunite until young adulthood. Charles met an untimely death at age 24 in a work related accident.

    Mary Pearl's second child, a son named Earl died as a toddler of unknown cause.

    The funeral of Mrs. Mary Pearl
    Buckner, who died at her home on West
    avenue Monday morning, of heart fail-
    ure, will be held tomorrow afternoon
    at 2 o'clock, Rev. Dr. Chapin officia-
    ting, Interment at Shelby Basin.
    The Deceased was born near Medina,
    March 1, 1882, and had lived here ever
    since. She had a kind, genial disposition
    and a host of friends who will be
    grieved to learn of her sudden death.
    Besides her husband, Mr. Edward
    Buckner, she leaves two sons, Carl and
    Charles, and an infant daughter, only
    a few weeks old, her father, Mr. Riley
    Wood; two brothers, William and Ralph
    Wood, and four sisters, Mrs. B. Austin
    and Mrs. W. Chambers, of Middleport,,
    and Misses Clara and Ida Wood, of
    Medina.

    Mrs. Edward Buckner died suddenly
    from heart failure at her home
    in Medina yesterday, aged 31 years.
    She is survived by her husband and
    three Children.

    Stahl. 60 years old. died suddenly
    this morning at the home in State
    street of acute indigestion. Mr. Stahl
    is survived by his widow. Mrs. Anna
    Werth Stahl. and two daughters, Mrs.
    Peter Siedel of Middleport; a niece,
    Charles Buckner of Wilson, and Mrs.
    Eleanor Aiken, at home: three brothers,
    Randolph. John and Emil Stahl.
    all of the town of Royalton: four
    sisters. Mrs. August Schroeder of
    Middleport. Mrs. John Schroeder of
    Medina. Mrs. Louis Klino. of the
    Ridge road, and Mrs. Albert Seritz,
    of Shelby Basin. Mrs, Stahl was
    born in Wolcottsvllle and had always
    resided ft this vicinity.
    The funeral will be held on Wednesday
    afternoon at 2:30 p. m. a t the
    funeral home of Richardson and
    Khuebel, 38 State street. Middleport.
    Interment will be in Mountain Ridge
    cemetery.- The Rev, David Pearson
    will offlclate.

    this village, died today (April
    8. 1961) at the Hilltop Nursing
    Home, Gasport, where she
    had been a patient for 10

    Born in Germany, Feb. 26,
    1877, Mrs. Stahl came to this
    country as a child. She was
    married to Mr. Stahl in 1900
    and he died in 1932.
    Surviving are two daughters,
    Mrs. Carl Buckner. and
    Mrs. Peter Siegel. both of
    Wilson: four grandchildren
    and four greatgrandchildren.
    Friends may call from 3-5
    and 7-9 p.m. at the Wallace
    & Heath F u n e r a l Home,
    where services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Monday.
    Burial will he in Royalton
    Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
