    merchant in Lockport for 37
    years, Elton R. Brado. 62, of 80
    Erie St., died Friday evening
    (March 2. 1962) at Lockport Memorial
    Hospital after a short illness.
    Born in Warren's Corners, Dec.
    30, 1899, he was the son of Frank
    and Mae Stratton Brado.
    After attending schools in New-
    fane,, Mr. Brado came to Lock-
    port where he conducted the Bra-
    do Vending Machine Co., a whole-
    sale candy and cigarette vending
    machine company.
    He was a member of the Moose
    and the Commercial Travelers
    Association of America.
    Surviving him are his widow,
    Frances; two daughter, Mrs.
    David McEdowney and Joyce
    Brado,, both of Lockport; two
    grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs..
    Bertha Lederhouse of Lockport.
    Beginning this evening, frends
    may call at the Prudden and
    Kandt Funeral ome, 242 Gene-
    see St. where funeral service
    will be held Monday at 2 p.m. The
    Rev. Herbert L.. Siegner of St..
    Peter's United Church of Christ
    will officiate.
    Burial will be in Cold Spring
    Cemetery.

    The marriage of Miss Frances M.
    Schumacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    William Schumacher of Lockport to
    Mr. Elton R. Brado of Newfane took
    place at five o'clock Thursday afternoon
    at the residence of the- bride,
    the Rev. John Schatter officiating.
    The bride, who was given in marriage
    by her father, wore her traveling
    suit of navy blue, wttk a hat to
    match and a corsage bouquet of roses
    and sweet peas.
    Miss Evelyn Fetzer of Robinson
    street, this city, was the bride's only
    attendant, gowned in a frock of black
    satin, with black hat and bouquet of
    roses and sweet peas. Mr. John
    Goerke of Erie street was the groom's
    best man. After a reception for the
    mmediate families,, Mr. and Mrs.
    Brado left for a trip to New York and
    New Jersey and after May 1st will
    be at home in 148 Washington street,
    Lockport.

    LOCKPORT - The widow of
    Frank Brado, Mrs. Mae Brado,
    85, of Chestnut Ridge Rd. died
    Wednesday (Aug. 13, 1958) at her
    home.
    Born Nov. 28, 1873, in Uniontown,
    Pa:, Mrs. Brado was a longtime
    resident of this area. She was
    a member of the Daughters of
    America and a former member
    of the Grange.
    Mrs. Brado is survived by a
    daughter, Mrs. Jesse Lederhouse;
    a son, Elton R. Brado; a sister,
    Mrs. Emma Stultz, all of Lockport:
    nine grandchildren and 20
    great grandchildren.
    Services will be held at 2 p.m.
    S a t u r d a y at the Pmddcn and
    Kandt Funeral Home. Burial Will
    be in Cold Springs Cemetery.

    NEWFANB, April 22-The death
    of William Brado at his home In
    Newfane last "Saturday removes a
    figure that has long been familiar to
    t h i s vicinity. Coming to this country
    from Germany when he was six
    years old, he was thrown upon his
    own resources early In life, and be-
    gan to shift for 'himself at the age
    of 12. His home had always been
    In Niagara County. He was married
    to Elizabeth Plain in 1863 and at
    the outbreak of the Civil war he en-
    listed and saw service from 1861 to
    1862. He re-enlisted within three
    weeks and served till 1886, and was
    in 27 battles. He was with the third
    N e w York cavalry. His wife died In
    January, 1907. His death leaves but
    three or four veterans of ths Civil
    War remaining in the township. Five
    sons and two daughters survive him:
    William ,T. and Charles of Cambria;
    Frank. Lewis and Bert of Newfane,
    and Mrs. Ella. Brimmer of Lockport
    and Mrs. Alice Smith of Schenectady,
    The funeral was held on Monday afternoon.
