Mr. Samuel P. Abiusi, age 64, of 20
Schuyler St, died Thursday, October
1M9W at bis residence.
He was born in
Utica, July 31,1920,
a son of the late
Rocco and Louisa
(Vivenzo) Abiusi.
He was raised and
educated in Utica,
attending local
schools. Mr. Abiusi
was a WW n Army
Veteran. On November
25,1945, be was
married to the former
Lotti Stawiass. For many'years, be
was a self-employed contractor, having
worked in the Utica area for over 25
years. He was a member of St Joseph
and St Patrick Church and the United
Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners
Local No. 120.
He is survived by his wife, Lotti; one
daughter, Miss Louise Abiusi of Utica;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip
and Shirley Abiusi of Verona, N.Y., Andrew
and Bridget Abiusi of Utica; five
grandchild-en, Derrik, Amy, Jennifer,
Heather and Tiffany Abiusi; three sisters,
Mrs. Dorothy Basi of Clearwater,
FL, Mrs. Grace Marchitelli, Utica and
Mrs. Samuel (Josephine) Spina of
Utica; one brother and sister-in-law,
James and Josephine Abiusi, Utica.
Also surviving are several nieces and
nephews.
The funeral will be held on Saturday
at 8 am. from The Eannace Funeral
Home, Inc., 932 South St. corner of
Hammond Ave., and at 8:45 a.m. at St.
Joseph and St Patrick Church, where a
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered.
Interment will take place in Calvary
Cemetery. Visitation will be today
from 2-4 and 7-9.

Miss Lottie Stawicz. daughter
of Mrs Catherine Stawicz, 2 St.
Joseph, and Samuel Abiusi, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Rocco Abiusi, 20
Schuyler, were married Nov. 25.
The wedding took place in Holy
Trinity Church, the Rev. Albin
Majdanik officiating. The at-
tendants were Miss Helen Moscal
and James Abiusi, seaman second
class, USN.
Following a trip to New York,
Mr. and Mrs. Abiusi are making
their home at 20 Schuyler.

Louisa Vivenzo, father of Mrs.
Rocco Biel, Mrs. Nicholas March-
itelli, Mrs. Samuel Spina, James
and Samuel Abiusi, nieces and
nephews. Friends may call at his
late residence at their convenience
and may attend the funeral Monday
morning at 8:30 and at 9 o'clock at
St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church
where a solemn requiem high Mass
will be celebrated. Arrangements
by the Eannace Funeral Service.

Mrs. Louise Vivenzo Abiusi,
77, of 20 Schuyler St., widow
of Rocco Abiusi, died yesterday
in her home.
She was born in Naples,
Italy, and came to Utica in
1905. Two years later she
was married to Mr. Abiusi in
Utica. He died in 1953. Mrs.
Abiusi was a member of St.
Mary of Mt. Carmel Church
and its Adolorato Society-
She leaves three daughters,
Mrs. Rocco (Dorothy) Basi,
Mrs. Nicholas (Grace) Mar-
chitelli and Mrs. Samuel
(Josephine) Spina; two sons,
James and Samuel Abiusi and
a brother, Frank Vivenzo, all
of Utica.
The funeral will be at 8:30
Wednesday from the Eannace
Funeral Home, and at 9 from
St. Mary of Mt Carmel
Church, with a requiem Mass.
Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery.

tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
tomorrow and Tuesday
