    Barbara G. Sahr Feeley, 78, of Winter Haven, Florida, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on May 28, 2023, at home. She was born on March 8, 1945, to George and Frances Sahr in Lockport. She married Michael Feeley on September 23, 1978.
    Barbara is survived by her husband Michael J. Feeley of '146 years'! Her children, Richard J. (Debbie) Beutel, Randy R. Beutel, Michael A. (Sabrina) Feeley, Kelly M. (Joshua) Scalf; grandchildren Zachary and Jordan Beutel, Owen, Sarah, and Olivia Scalf, Evan Jenkins and Malaina Feeley.
    Barbara attended DeSales High School where she was very active in musicals. After graduation in 1962, she attended Doyle Beauty School in Buffalo, NY. She was a hairdresser for many years and owned her own salons. She was also a resident volunteer at Wyndham Lawn home for children for 30 years, she was also the hairdresser for the children. Along with her many years of hairdressing, she chose another path with real estate with Carriage Realty. She was a secretary for several years with Dr. Gilkar before opening the Dug Out Bar in Newfane with her husband Michael throughout the nineties, where she adopted many more 'children.' After several years of being a snow bird, she permanently moved to Winter Haven Florida with her husband Mike.
    She was a member of the ladies auxiliary for Lockport VFW and Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for Amvets of Lakeland Florida for several years. Barb was awarded as Ladies Auxiliary member of the year for Amvets in 2022.
    Barb had the most angelic and contagious smile that could light up the darkest sky. If you were in her presence, you could not help but smile with her. She was loved by so many.
    She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and George Sahr.
    There will be no prior visitation. Funeral will be at Glenwood Cemetery on August 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Lockport, NY and a celebration of life at Scruples Bar on 2875 Main St., Newfane, NY immediately following.
    Memorials or donations may be made to Amvets Post 32, 1339 E Gary Road, Lakeland, Fl 33801.

    LOCKPORT — Frances B. Sahr, of Newfane, NY, wife of the late George E. Sahr, entered into rest Thursday, December 8, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. She was born in Lockport, NY, May 24, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Stella Stephanowski Blonkowski. Frances last worked for Bewley Seekins Insurance Company in Lockport, NY, as an Insurance Secretary. Her husband, George E. Sahr, died in 1989. Member of St. Brendan on the Lake (St. Bridget's Parish), St. Patrick's Mothers Club, DeSales Mothers Club, Greater Lockport Insurance Club, UAW Travel Club, volunteered at Windham Lawn Home for Children and worked at Newfane Dugout as Mom for 10 years.

    Mother of Barbara (Michael) Feeley of Newfane, NY. Grandmother of Richard (Debbie) Beutel, Jr., Randy (Julie Walsh) Beutel, Michael (Sabrina) Feeley and Kelly (Joshua) Scalf. Great-grandmother of Zachary and Jordan Beutel, Evan Jenkins, Malaina Feeley, Owen, Sarah and Olivia Scalf. Sister of Stanley Blonkowski of Lockport, NY, Lorraine (Edward) Sherman of Amherst, NY, Delores Dubaj of Lockport, NY and the late Mary Nowak, Jean Kowalski, Lota Biernacki, Helen Dubai and Dorothy Blonkowski. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, SUNDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated MONDAY at 11:00 AM in St. Brendan on the Lake Ewings Road, Newfane, NY. Entombment will be held in Glenwood Mausoleum, Lockport, NY.     Lizzie Sahr, 64, died last night in
    her home, in the Drake Settlement
    road, following several months ill
    health. Mrs. Sahr was born in Cambria
    Center and had lived in the
    Town of Newfane for 45 years.
    Surviving her are her husband,
    Ernest Sahr, four daughters, Mrs.
    Fred Frederick, of Wilson, N. Y.,
    Mrs. Floyd Connor, of Ridgewood, N.
    Y., Mrs. Louis Hanel, of Lockport,
    and Mrs. Woodrow Lucas, of Mlddleport,
    N.Y.; three sons, Private
    First Class Karl Sahr, of the United
    States Army in the Pacific, Walter
    Sahr, of the Ide road, Town of
    Newfane, and George Sahr, of
    Lockport; one brother, John Kolbow,
    of Wilson, N. Y., and one sister,
    Mrs. Louis Baldwin, of Newfane,
    N.Y. She also leaves eleven
    grandchildren.
    The funeral rites will be conducted
    Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
    the family home and at 2:30 In 8t.
    John's Lutheran church in the
    Drake Settlement road. The Rev.
    William H. Dahlmann will officiate.
    Interment will be at Wright's Corners
    cemetery.
