A pretty home wedding was
solemnized Wednesday afternoon,
June 26, at four o'clock, when Miss
Arline a. Hartel, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jacob Hartel of 514
Morgan street, became the bride
of Harry Hughes of Franklin
street, the Rev. Russel Moore of-
ficiating. the house was artistic-
ally decorated in yellow and
white, many bouquets of garden
flowers being effectively used. The
bride wore a gown of white geor-
gette, with lace trimmings, with a
tulle band about her head, fash-
ioned into a rosette at the side,
and carried a shower bouquet of
white roses and sweet peas. Miss
Helen Hartel, sister of the bride,
was bridesmaid, her gown being of
orchid crepe. She wore a band of
tulle about her head, similar to
the one worn by the bride, and
carried a bouquet of pink roses
and sweet peas. George Freck
acted as best man.
A wedding supper followed the
ceremony, covers being laid for
sixteen at the bride's table, which
was centered with a large wed-
ding cake. Mr. and Mrs. Hughes
have gone on an eastern motor
trip, and will be at home after
July 1st, in 262 Thompson street,
North Tonawanda.
