    Of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  She was born in North Tonawanda, NY,  on October 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Norman and Catherine [Langbehn] Martin.
    Mrs. Adams graduated from Wilson High School.
    She was a clerk with the City of Niagara Falls Parks Department for many years before moving to Alaska with her husband in 1998.
    Mrs. Adams moved back to area in 2018.
    She was the wife of the late Robert Adams, who passed away in 2017.
    Mrs. Adams is survived by two grandsons Robert Adams, III and Nathan Adams, three sisters Patricia McCord, Charleen Austin and Norma Rivera, also many nieces and nephews.
    Mrs. Adams was the mother of the late Robert Adams, II and sister of the late Edward Martin, Priscilla McCollum and Linda Townsend.
    Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family.
    Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY  14094.

    Born in Crescent, Pa., Mr. Adams
    had resided in this city for 42
    years. He was employed as a welder
    In the welding shop at the. corporation
    yard, was In charge of
    the large garage there and at times
    drove the truck for the street repair
    department.
    He was a member of the, City
    Employes union,' Local 138; the
    Pulaksl club and the Young Men's
    Republican club.
    Surviving are his wife, Mary
    Yanlk Adams; six daughters, Mrs.
    John Padgett, Mrs. Earl Welsby,
    Mrs. Francis Martlneau, Betty and
    Barbara .Adams, all of this city three
    sons, Pfc. Robert Adams,

    and Thomas, both of this city; his
    father, Anthony Adams; two brothers,

    Funeral services win,be held at
    8:30 am. Tuesday at the home, 2435
    Ontario avenue; and at 9 o'clock at
    Sacred Heart church. Interment
    will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.

    -Mrs. Ida Martin, 75, a life long
    resident of this city died yesterday in
    her home, 283 Bryant street, after a
    short illness. A Gold Star Mother,
    she was a member of Tonawandas
    Post 264, American Legion Auxiliary.
    She was a charter member of Grace
    United Lutheran church and of the
    Ladies Aid of the church.
    Surviving are six sons, Henry, Oscar
    and Elmer, North Tonawanda;
    Dennis, Tonawanda: Norman, Sanborn,
    and Lt. Col. Floyd Martin of
    the United States Army in Tokyo;
    three daughters, Mrs. George Bingert,
    Mrs. Walter Witkop and Miss
    Virginia Martin; two brothers, William
    and Fred Hamann, three sisters,
    Mrs. Philip Martin, Ncwfanc; Mrs.
    William Thielke and Mrs. Augusta
    Golem, all of Tonawanda, 20 grand
    children and 5 great grandchildren.
    A son, George, was killed in World
    War 1.
