    Vera A. (Youngmann) Lenz, formerly of Willow Avenue, Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, July 17, 2008 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. She was 91. She was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on March 22, 1917, a daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Edger) Youngmann. Mrs. Lenz was employed by Hooker Chemical Company in the mailroom for 24 years and retired in 1981. She was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, also belonging to the St. James Seniors and the John Duke Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting. In 1962 she married George M. Lenz. He predeceased her July 20, 2007, after 44 years of marriage.Survivors include her children, Ann Schmidt (Fred) of Colonial Village, Raymond Swann (Donna) of Colonial Village, Carl Swann (Sharla) of Greece, NY, Norman Swann (Cheryl) of Youngstown; a step- daughter, Brenda Cassoni (John) of Grand Island; a daughter-in-law, Joan Lenz of Niagara Falls; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday after 10 AM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held Saturday following the visitation at 12 noon. The interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

    Mrs Raymond Swan, a recent bride,
    was guest of honor at a blue and gray
    kitchen shower which was given at
    the home of Miss Norlne Connor,
    Hyde Park boulevard. Games were
    played and the winners of the prizes
    were Mrs. George Ross, Mrs. Fred
    Youngmann and Mrs. Raymond Swann.
    After games a delicious lunch was

    Margueritte "Peggy" Decker, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Cabot, PA. Born on July 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Gissella Townsend.
    While living in Niagara Falls, Peggy was part of several square dance clubs and rollerskating groups, as well as the Rainbow Raiders Drum & Bugle Corp. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls and had worshipped for many years at Bethel Baptist Church in Getzville.
    Peggy was married to Earl Decker for 53 years until his passing in 2001. She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Paul) Garcia, Sharla-Rae (Carl) Swann and Billie-Jo (Ron) Snyder; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her sister, Alvera (James) Ossman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
    Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17th at 10 AM, with Rev. David Ewing officiating. Internment to follow in North Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends invited. As you prepare to attend, please be mindful to bring face coverings.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA.

    CUSTODIAN PASSES
    Frederick C. Youngmann, 61, custodian
    of the city waterworks plant,
    died yesterday at his home, 1835
    Willow avenue, after an illness of
    four months. He was a native and
    lifelong resident of this city and
    had been employed by the waterworks
    department for 16 years. He
    was a 25-year member of Niagara
    Falls Lodge, No. 8.1, I. O. O. F.,
    and Niagara Falls Aerie, No. 88,
    Fraternal Order of Eagles.
    Surviving him are his wife, Mrs
    Anna J. Youngman; a son, Fred-
    erick E. Youngmann, and a daugh-
    ter, Mrs. Raymond Swann, all of
    this city; three brothers, John and
    Jake Youngmann, of this city, and
    Louis Youngmann, of Hartford,
    Conn.; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian
    Taif, of this city, Mrs. Louise Glassman,
    of Buffalo, and Mrs. William
    Otto, of Hartford, Conn., and three
    grandchildren.
    . Funeral services will be held at
    the family home at 2 p. m. Wednesday

    Dies After Brief Illness
    A 25-year member of Riverdale
    Rebekah lodge, Mrs. Anna Youngmann,
    65, of 1835 Willow avenue,
    died today in Mt. St Mary's hospital
    after a short illness.
    Born in Bridgeburg, Ont., she had
    lived in Niagara Falls for 45 years.
    She was the widow of Fred C
    Youngmann, who died in 1943. Mrs.
    Youngmann was a long-time member
    of Zion Evangelical Lutheran
    church.
    Surving are one son, Fred E.; one
    daughter, Mrs. Raymond Swann,
    both of this city; her mother, Mrs.
    Martha Edgar; a sister, Mrs. Charles
    Lundy, both of Fonthill, Ont.; one
    brother, Frank Edgar, California,
    and five grandchildren.
    The Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer,
    D. D., will officiate at funeral services
    at 1 p. m. Tuesday at Zion
    Evangelical Lutheran church, Michigan
    avenue and Tenth street. Interment
    will be in Oakwood cemetery.
