    GOERSS
    Gerhard V. Goerss, 68, of 1270 Pierce ave., North Tonawanda, died unexpectedly Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1971). Born in Bergholz, Mr. Goerss had resided in North Tonawanda for the greater part of his life and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Layman's League and Rescue Fire Co., No. 5 of North Tonawanda. In 1925 he established the G.V. Goerss Dairy.
    Surviving are his wife Leona W. (nee Fritz) Goerss; two sons, James M. and Don D. Goerss; three grandchildren, all of North Tonawanda and a brother, Waldemere(sic) Goerss, of Clearwater, Fla.
    The family will be present Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Sts., Tonawanda. Services Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Old Falls Blvd. The Rev. Enno A. Schmoock will officiate. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Park. At the request of the family, flowers are gratefully declined and memorials to the Nigeria and India Foriegn Missions in care of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda would be gratefully appreciated by the familily. Cards for same are available at the funeral home.

    William F. Goerss, 78 years old, died early this morning at his home, Shawnee road, town of Wheatfield, after a prolonged illness. Born in the town of Wheatfield, he had resided there all his life with the exception of 15 years, which he spent in the town of Pendleton. He resided on the farm in Pendleton now occupied by Acacia cemetery. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church on the Niagara Falls boulevard. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gustav Reichert, Wheatfield, and Mrs. Edwin J. Wendt, North Tonawanda; seven sons, Arthur A. Wheatfield; Rev. Richard W., Nagercoil, India, Ezra C., Wilmer C., and Gerhard, North Tonawanda, Rev. Daniel F., Pitcairn, Pa., and Wallemar (sic) A., Cleveland; 27 grandchildren and a sister. Mrs. William Ferchen, Bergholz. Services will be held Thursady afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock from St. Paul's church, Rev. F. A. Hinners officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn.

    Two Brothers Die
    Within 12 Hours
    NORTH TONAWANDA, Sept.
    20—Two brothers, pioneer residents
    of the Martinsville area, died
    within 12 hours of each other after
    long illnesses.
    Louis H. Fritz, 84, of Shawnee
    Rd., Town of Wheatfield, a retired
    farmer, died Saturday afternoon
    in his home. He was a member
    of St. John's Lutheran Church,
    Rescue Hose Co., and the Firemen's
    Benevolent Assn.
    He is survived by his wife
    Eleanor Fritz; seven daughters,
    Mrs. Henry Berndt; Mrs. Geahart
    Ooerss, Mrs. • Henry Laucheur,
    Mrs, Albert Prill, Mrs. Clarence
    Miller, Miss Eleanor Fritz and
    Miss Vera Fritz; four sons, Alvin
    Fritz, Louis Fritz Jr., Clarence
    Fritz and LeRoy Fritz; a brother.
    George Fritz, all of the Tonawandas.
    Funeral services will be held at
    2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the residence.
    The Rev. Walter Thiemecke
    will officiate with interment in
    White Chapel Memorial Park
    cemetery.
    Julius C Fritz, 98, of 5230 Old
    Falls Blvd. died yesterday morning
    in the Hilltop Nursing Home in
    Gasport. He was employed by the
    Wurlitzer Manufacturing Co. for
    many years, retiring 26 yean ago.
    He was a member of St Paul's
    Lutheran Church, a charter member
    and the oldest member of
    Rescue Hose Co. and a member
    of the Firemens Benevolent Assn.
    His wife, the late Ida Sydow,
    died in 1952. He is survived by
    six sons, Walter Fritz, Alfred
    Fritz, Norman Fritz, Carl Fritz,
    Arthur Fritz and Glen Fritz; five
    daughters, Mrs. Albert Strassburg,
    Mrs. Charles Kaminski, Mrs. John
    Zatsrow, Mrs. Joseph Gorman,
    Mrs. Henry Ellman; a brother
    George Fritz, all of the Tonawandas.

    Eleanor E. Fritz, 83, of Shawnee Rd., Town of Wheatfield, died Thursday (July 16, 1959) at her home after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was the widow of the late Louis H. Fritz and is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Henry Berndt, Mrs. Gerhard Goerss, Mrs. Harry Lacheur, Mrs. Albert Prill, Mrs. Clarence Miller and Misses Eleanor and Vera Fritz; four sons, Alvin, Louis G., Clarence and Leroy Fritz; two brothers, Walter Kopp and George Sattelberg, all of North Tonawanda; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Hugo G. Kleiner officiating. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Park.
