Beloved father of Richard (Kristen) Phillips and Robert (Rory) Phillips. Grandfather of Emily, Charlene, Corina, and Nicholas. Great-grandfather of Noah and Ellie. Mr Phillips was a lifelong resident of this area, a veteran of World War II and former employee of Bell Aircraft. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (nee Lovegrove) Phillips; a daughter.     NORTH TONAWANDA — Albert C. "Shaney" Schoenfeldt, age 87, of North Tonawanda, on Thursday, January 5, 2012, after brief illness at Buffalo General Hospital. Shaney was the oldest living retired firefighter in North Tonawanda. He served 34 years with the North Tonawanda Fire Department. He was a 66-year member of the Sweeney Hose and a 59-year member of the Live Hose. Always active in his community, he was a member of Sikora Post and a former Director of the Third Warder's Club. Shaney was an avid golfer and bowler. Shaney was a WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Son of the late LeVant and Myrtle (nee Lozo) Schoenfeldt.

    Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Williams/Bolduc) of North Tonawanda. Step-father of Alan Bolduc of Florida, Carl (Patricia) Bolduc of South Carolina and the late Mark Bolduc. Father of Carol (the late Ronald) Szymanski, Jane (Ron) Roy, Kyle Schoenfeldt, Keith Schoenfeldt and the late Charlene Phillips.

    Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday morning (January 7, 2012) at 11:00 AM at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. The Rev. A.W. Moldenhauer will officiate.

    Ernest Z. Phillips, 48, of 04 Fredericks street, died yesterday afternoon at the Meyer Memorial hospital, Buffalo, after a brief illness. He was born in California. For the past 18 years he had been a resident of North Tonawanda. He was attached to the Aviation Corps, U.S.A., during the World War. Surviving are a wife, Emma, nee Hoffmeister, a son, Richard E. and two daughters, Shirley R. and Patricia M. at home. Rites will be held Friday afternoon at 2:10 from the residence. Burial will be in St. Mark's cemetery.

    SCHOENFELDT – Levant C. Schoenfeldt, 54, of 124 Rumbold Ave., North Tonawanda, died today, Monday Oct. 26, 1953 in the DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in North Tonawanda and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Schoenfeldt had been stationed at the Active Hose Company headquarters in North Tonawanda as a driver for 25 years before retiring in 1949. For the past six years he had been employed as a machinist by the Alan Herschell Co. He was a member of the Sweeney Hose Company 7 and the Firemen’s Benevolent Association of North Tonawanda. Mr. Schoenfeldt is survived by his wife, Myrtle, nee Lozo; a son, Albert C.; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Schroeder; three grandchildren; and a brother, Benjamin, all of North Tonawanda. Also a sister, Mrs. James Jamieson of Tidioute, Pa. Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Carl E. Berges will officiate.
