Herbert John Bliss, son of Mrs.
George French Bliss of Newport,
R. I. and the late Mr. Bliss, at
a 10:30 o'clock ceremony in the
Church of Sts. Peter and Paul,
the Rev. John McNamara officiating.
A reception followed at the
Orienta Beach Club. Mamaroneck.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, had her sister, Miss
Mary G. Allen, as maid of honor.
Dr. Richard P. Welcher of Greenwich,
Conn., was best man.
Miss Allen a t t e n d e d local
schools and is a graduate of the
College of New Rochelle. Mr.
Bliss, a graduate of Holy Cross
college and the Catholic Univer-
sity Law School, Washington, D.C.
served four years with the United
States Air Force. He is now as-
sociated with the law firm of
Egan and Weitzner of New York.
After a motor trip to the south,
the couple will reside in Mount
Vernon.
