    Two Niagara Falls women
    were among -the six Western
    New York drivers or passengers
    killed S u n d a y as bad
    weather and slippery driving
    conditions closed out an otherwise
    mild holiday weekend.
    Dead in Niagara Falls were
    Mrs. Aid-a DeFazio, 58, of 1612
    South Ave., the driver of one
    car, and Mrs. Mary'Moro, 48,
    528 28th St., a passenger in a
    car driven by her husband,
    Anthony Moro, 47.
    Mr. Moro received facial
    lacerations and Miss Marlene
    Moro, 15, daughter of tne
    couple, received head lacerations
    and contusions of the
    legs.
    The two utomoviles col-
    lided at about 1:15 p.m. on
    the Hyde Park Boulevard
    overpass after the DeFaxio
    auto skidded on the ice-cover-
    ed bridge. Police said that the
    DeFazio car turned around
    three times before colliding
    sideways with the front end
    of the Moro vehicle.
    The rescue squad from the
    Fire Department was summoned
    when it appeared at
    first that Mrs;.DeFazio was
    trapped in the car. However,
    police and other firemen were
    able to free her quickly and
    get her into a waiting ambulance..
    Both women were dead
    on arrival at Memorial Hospital.
    Police said that the DeFazio
    vehicle was equipped with
    seat belts, but they were not
    in use at the time of the accident.
    The Moro car had no
    seat belts.
    Mrs. DeFazio was born in
    tfhis city and attended area
    schools. She graduated from
    Stella Niagara.
    She was employed as a
    bookkeeper for Drs. Wiilliam
    C. Gililick, Edward C. Weppner
    and Joseph H: LaTona,
    her brother. Previously, she
    had been employed for 12
    years as a bookkeeper for
    Postal Telegraph. .
    Mrs. DeFazio was a mem-
    ber of -Ladies of Charity of
    Sacred Heart Church and the
    St. Francis Guild of Mount
    St. Mary's Hospital.
    Surviving are her husband,
    Thomas DeFazio, three "daughters,
    Loretta, Kathryn and
    Mary Jo DeFazio; two sisters,
    Mrs. Samuel Battaglia, Miss
    Alumina LaTona; two brothers,
    Dr. Salvatore LaTona and Dr.
    Joseph LaTona, several nieces
    and nephews.
    Funeral services will be
    held at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday
    at.the M. J. Colucci Funeral
    Chapel and at 9:15 a.m. at
    Sacred Heart Church. Burial
    will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    5 and 7 to 10 p.m. today and
    Tuesday. -
    The family said that donations
    to the Mount St. Mary's
    Hospital Building Fund would
    be acceptable as tributes.
    Mrs. Moro also was born in
    this city and attended Niagara
    Falils school's.
    Surviving are her husband,
    Anthony Moro; two daughters,
    Miss Marlene Moro and
    Mrs. Thomas (Josephine) Parker;
    four sisters. Mrs. Victor
    (Angelina) Distefano and Mrs.
    ell-a,. all of tin is city; Mrs. Anthony
    (Carmela) Markette,
    Allbridge, N.J., and Mrs. Louis
    (Antoinette) Marino, this city;
    two brothers, Vito Alongi, tfhis
    city, and Samuel Alongi, Buf.

    nephews...
    Funeral services will be
    held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday
    at the Magaddino Memorial
    Chapel Inc. and at 9 a.m. at
    Our Lady of the Rosary
    Church. Burial will be in Gate
    of Heaven Cemetery.

    10 p.m: today and from 2 to
