    The bride wore a light grey suit,
    an all lace blouse with green and
    black velvet accessories and a
    white orchid corsage.
    The matron of honor, Mrs. Betty
    McAninch, sister of the bride,
    wore a tan suit with pink and
    brown accessories and a corsage
    of white carnations.
    Henry Alt was best man for his
    brother who recently received his
    discharge from, the Army Air
    Force.
    For her daughter's wedding,
    Mrs. Gardei chose a grey dress
    trimmed with black velvet, black
    velvet accessories and a corsage
    of carnations. The bride's two
    grandmothers chose black dresses
    complemented with corsages of
    white carnations.
    A reception followed the ceremony
    in the home of the bride's
    parents.
    Mr. and Mrs. Alt motored to
    Fort Worth, Texas waste they
    will make their home. The bridegroom's
    parents live in 3417 Hazeline
    Road, Fort Worth. ,
    Entertaining at showers for the
    bride were the Misses Gerry Camarre,
    J o a n Wilson, Marilyn
    Schultz, Jeanne Westphal, girls of
    the Bell Aircraft office and Mrs.
    Betty McAninch.

Mr. Gardei was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, the Rescue Fire Company and the Firemen's Benevolent Association. Survived by his wife Florence (nee Reigels) Gardei; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Betty) McAninch of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Alt of Warren, Mich.; a son, George J. Gardei. of North Tonawanda, and 12 grandchildren. Friends may call at Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, North Tonawanda, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Luther Knauff will officiate. Interment in Elmlawn Cemetery.

    late, George Dewey Gardei. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty J. Mc Aninch of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Alt of Warren, Michigan;
    a son, George (Dorothy) Gardei of North Tonawanda; thirteen grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Evelyn) Riegle of Bergholz; she was the sister of the late, Hazel Donner and Violet Gardei. She is also survived by several nieces andnephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda, today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. the Rev.     JAMES AUGUST GARDEI IS DEAD AT HIS HOME
    James August Gardei, age 35 years, died at his home, 69 FIrst avenue, yesterday morning about 11 o'clock as the result of an operation. Mr. Gardei was a prominent Democrat in the city, having been at one time a member of the Democratic county and city committees. Four years ago Mr. Gardei was secretary of the Board of Civil Service Commissioners. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and of the Red Men. He was an exempt fireman and a member of the Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Society. He was a charter member of the Sweeney Hose Company.
    Mr. Gardei is survied by a wife and three children, a mother, five brothers, Isaac, John, Herman, William of North Tonawanda and Louis of Washington, Pa., also five (sic) sisters, Mrs. Charles Boyer and Mrs. Alfred Martz of this city and Mrs. William Macdonald of Buffalo.
    The funeral will be held from the late residence on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Red Men will have charge of the ceremony, and Rev. Duncan Cameron will officiate. Interment will take place at Elmlawn cemetery.

    FOLLENDORF - Anna Gardei Follendorf, 82, this morning (March 10, 1956) at the Bethesda Home, Tonawanda. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, she had lived in North Tonawanda most of her life. She was a member of Friedens Church. Survivors include her two sons, Clarence A. Gardei of Lewisburg, Pa., and George D. Gardei of North Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs. Howard C. Flanders of Lockport; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, August Goerss of North Tonawanda; three step-sons, William, Fred, and Herman Follendorf, all of North Tonawanda, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Ida Runge of North Tonawanda. Friends may call at Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., Tonawanda, where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Carl E. Berges officiating. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
