    Mrs. Joan Donner, 39, wife of
    Henry Donner' Jr. of 840 Revere
    Ave., North Tonawanda died
    ( Wednesday Aug. 30, 1967 in Qe-
    Graff Memorial Hospital there
    following a lingering illness.
    She was a daughter of Mrs.
    Norman Boyer of Middleport
    and the late Jacob Altmayer.
    She was also a member of
    Friedens Evangelical Church,
    North Tonawanda.
    Besides her widower and her
    mother, she is survived by a
    daughter, Ann Marie at home;
    two sisters, Mrs. Leaon (Martha)
    Schuler and Mrs. Robert
    (Marilyn) Reinbolt, both of
    North Tonawanda; her stepfather,
    Norman Boyer of Middleport;
    a step-brother, Norman
    Boyer Jr. of San Diego, Calif.;
    a step - sister, Mrs. Robert
    (Mary Kathrine) Schoelles of
    Lockport.
    Friends may call beginning
    this evening from 2-4 and 7-9
    p.m. at the Fretthold Funeral
    Home, Oliver Street, North Tonawanda
    where services will be
    held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial
    will be in the Frieden Cemetery,
    Martinsville.

    Joan married DONNER, Henry John on 25 Sep 1948 in Tonawanda, Erie County, NY. Henry (son of DONNER, Henry John and RIEGLE, Hazel May) was born on 16 Aug 1927; died in Oct 1990. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    The marriage of Miss Joan Altmayer,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Jacob Altmayer of 246 Fredericka
    St. to Henry John Donner Jr. son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Donner Sr. of
    41 Cramer St. was solemnized
    Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. in Frieden's
    Church. Rev. Carl Berges officiated.
    With Miss Laura Neuman presiding
    at the organ LcRoy Carlapo
    sang "Because" and "The Lord's
    Prayer."
    Gowned in ivory satin, and
    wearing a veil of illusion the
    bride was given in marriage by
    her father. A lace bertha outlined
    the yoke of illusion of her gown
    which was fashioned with long
    sleeves and full skirt with a
    chapel length train. Her veil was
    fastened with a beaded tiara and
    she carried a shower bouquet of
    white roses, pompons and gypsophelia.
    She wore a lavalier the gift
    of the bridegroom.
    Miss Ruth Hacker, maid of honor,
    wore a gown of dusty rose
    faille, with off-shoulder neckline
    and bertha, full skirt draped in
    the front and with a small bustle
    at the back. Long gloves matched
    her gown. She wore a cluster of
    red roses in her hair and carried
    a shower bouquet of red roses and'
    pompons.
    Mrs. Leon Schuyler, the bride's
    sister, was the bridesmaid wearing
    a gown of turquoise faille, with
    oval neckline and the skirt draped
    to form an apron front. She
    wore long gloves and carried a
    bouquet of pink roses, while gladioli
    with touches of blue, and
    wore pink roses in her hair.
    Russell Janowski attended the
    bridegroom as best man and Eugene
    Donner and Don Byerly
    were the ushers.
    The bride and bridegroom's
    mother chose blue dresses for the
    occasion. Their accessories harmonized
    with their dresses and
    both wore corsages of mixed
    flowefs.
    A wedding supper for the immediate
    families was served in
    the bride's home with a reception
    following.
    Mr. and Mrs. Donner spent their
    honeymoon in North Bay, Canada
    and the Thousand Islands and are
    now at home in 292 Niagara St.
    Showers for the bride were
    given by Mrs. Henry Donner and
    Mrs. Donald Byerly, Mrs. Leon,
    Schuyler, Miss Ruth Hacker, Mrs.
    Richard Mclnitch and Mrs. George
    Gardei.

    died yesterday at his home, 278
    Fredericka street. Born in Austria,
    he had resided in North Tonawanda
    for the past 83 years. He
    is survived by a wife, Katherine;
    a son, Jacob; two daughters, Mrs.
    Harold Jedele and Mrs. George
    Proefrock; five grandchildren, all
    of North Tonawanda, and a sister,
    Mrs. Martin Matalensky, Austria.
    Rites will be held Friday morning
    at 8:30 o'clock from the residence
    and at 9 o'clock at the Ascension
    church, Rev. Daniel Malloy
    officiating.

    Katherine Altmayer, 84, of 160
    Stenzel St., died Sunday (Oct. 13,
    1957) at the home of her daughter,
    Mrs. George Proefrock, where she
    resided.
    In addition to her daughter, surviving
    are a son. Jack Altmayer,
    and another daughter, Mrs. Harold
    Jedele, all of" this city, six grandchildren
    and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m.
    Wednesday at the Fretthold Funeral
    Home, followed by Requiem
    Mass at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's
    Church. Burial will be in Sweeney
    Cemetery.
