    (March 28, 1958) at De-
    Graff Memorial Hospital after a
    after a long illness. Surviving are h i s
    wife, Martha (nee Scholles); three
    daughters. Mrs. Leon Schuyler.
    Mrs. Henry Donner Jr. and Miss
    Marilyn Altmayer all of North
    Tonawanda: three grandchildren,
    and two sisters. Mrs. Harold
    Jedele of Tonawanda and Mrs,
    George Proefrock of North Tona-
    wanda Mr. Altmayer was the fa-
    ther of the late Paul Altmayer. both of Tonawanda: a grandson
    Friends may call at the Fretthold
    Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at
    Ward Rd. where services will be
    held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev.
    Carl e. Berges will officiate. In-
    terment in Friedens Cemetery.

    Joseph Altmayer, 67 years old,
    died yesterday at his home, 278
    Fredericka street. Born in Austria,
    he had resided in North Tonawanda
    for the past 83 years. He
    is survived by a wife, Katherine;
    a son, Jacob; two daughters, Mrs.
    Harold Jedele and Mrs. George
    Proefrock; five grandchildren, all
    of North Tonawanda, and a sister,
    Mrs. Martin Matalensky, Austria.
    Rites will be held Friday morning
    at 8:30 o'clock from the residence
    and at 9 o'clock at the Ascension
    church, Rev. Daniel Malloy
    officiating.

    Katherine Altmayer, 84, of 160
    Stenzel St., died Sunday (Oct. 13,
    1957) at the home of her daughter,
    Mrs. George Proefrock, where she
    resided.
    In addition to her daughter, surviving
    are a son. Jack Altmayer,
    and another daughter, Mrs. Harold
    Jedele, all of" this city, six grandchildren
    and 12 great-grandchildren.
    Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m.
    Wednesday at the Fretthold Funeral
    Home, followed by Requiem
    Mass at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's
    Church. Burial will be in Sweeney
    Cemetery.
